Lucy and Mavis

             Continuation...

Lucy was sitting and then begins to cry softly but then she sits up and says...

"I'm done crying, Lucy! You are not going to let it happen again!" Lucy stood up and saw Mavis standing by the door.

"Hello... onee-chan...what are you doing here?"

"Can I not come to visit my little friend that calls me onee-chan?"
*
"You can but you don't. Now tell me the reason of your surprise visit." Mavis stood smiling at Lucy . Then Lucy smiled back at her.

Telepathic conversation

'Oy Lucy do you want to know why I kept you hidden.'

'Uh I thought it's because I was too dangerous to be around others.'
•
'It's because you were sweet and innocent. And I didn't want the world to change you. I didn't want anyone to change the sweet, innocent Lucy I saw in my arms. I wanted you all to myself and I wanted to be the only you care deeply about. Also, I didn't want you to cry because of others. But I see that I was wrong, you smile bigger than me... and shine brighter than ever. Will you forgive me? I ,truly do, love you... little...sister'

'...*sobs*... I forgive you. There's nothing in this world that will ever change my smile. You'll always be the first person that I ever cared deeply about..also this world is full of people like you *sobs* and because of that and also, I know you'll protect me. It's because of you that I come to love this world. So please stop crying onee-chan I want you to feel happier than the time we held hands in the forest looking for colors!!'

Flashback
•
Mavis and Lucy were pretty close when they were young. Mavis visited Lucy all the time, and played until they collapse from exhaustion.

One day, Mavis came to visit Lucy but she wasn't there. She ran in and search for her. Then heard Lucy scream for Mavis. Mavis, without thinking, ran to Lucy's side and saw her crying and scared out of her mind. Why? Because there was a monster in front out her. Mavis went and used Fairy Law for the first time. Although she hadn't completely mastered it, she saved Lucy.

She held Lucy's hand but do to low magical energy. Mavis collapse then Lucy quickly brought edible berries, and water for Mavis.  She examined Mavis and her magical energy. And then she knew. She knew why Mavis stayed the same, year after year since they met. Mavis was......but she didn't care. Mavis is Lucy's first friend after all.

When Mavis finally woke up, she scolded Lucy for wandering off the tower. But then Lucy said

"The reason why I wandered off was to find you a present for your birthday. Today is your birthday right!! So I thought I could make you color paint from the forest. But I ended up going in circles. Then the monster found me. And next thing I know is you're saving me. But I never found the color berry bush. So now I can't make you color paint...I'm truly sorry..."

Mavis stood up, smiled then laughed. And held her hand out to Lucy and waited for her to look up. Lucy saw her extended hand. She looked up and her eyes widen. She smiles. And they begin to look for the color berry bush. Both girls laughed, smiled and had a great time. Mavis had lost hope of anyone remembering her birthday. And was so happy she sang. Of course Lucy sand along with her has they skipped through the forest holding hands.

End of Flashback

Mavis was crying and Lucy was hiding her tears. Then Mavis began to write something on paper. Lucy turned around and they began acting like children. Lucy and Mavis flew around, why? Well Lucy wanted to see what onee-chan was writing but Mavis wouldn't let her. They began to fight in thin air. Then Nastu and the others woke up due to the noise.

They notice Lucy wasn't there and then heard laughter coming from Lucy's room. They raced to her room. And saw, through the hole in her keyhole, Queen Mavis fighting with Lucy while laughing. Then Happy accidentally tipped them over and they all fell on each other. The girls stop fighting and stared at them. Mavis then lands and they all kneel down, all except Lucy because she never bows to anyone.

Lucy finally lands and stands behind Mavis because Nastu looked like a scary monster. Nastu hasn't eaten so he looks like the undead. Loki or Leo [ whichever ] appear out of nowhere and scares everyone, we'll all but Lucy and Mavis. Mavis hands Leo the paper, Lucy is still behind Mavis and all of sudden...Mavis grabs Lucy and hugs her tightly. Lucy was happy and hugs back.

Everyone's mouth drops to the floor. They cannot believe that Queen Mavis actually knows Lucy and Lucy actually knows the Queen. And they were hugging!! Everyone was surprised more or less shocked. Mavis has a whispering conversation with Lucy. They stop and look at them as if they were judging them. And then whispered again and this time laughed.

Mavis was leaving and Lucy was acting like a child again. Lucy wanted Mavis to stay longer. But Mavis had to leave for the palace for a ball for her realm. Lucy stood there waving from the small window. Everyone looked at the once shy,timid fairy to the childish, sweet fairy.

Once Lucy was done waving, she turned and saw them staring at her. She then transformed into the shy and timid fairy she was. Everyone thought she still isn't comfortable with them.
*
Loki then saw the awkwardness between them, and read the Queen's note.
*
I, Mavis Vermillion, give permission to let the upbeat yet childish fairy, Lucy Heartfilia, to wander outside the tower. Which means I allow her to have a day outside the tower walls. But under one condition, she will have to be disguise so no fairy is worried.

Lucy was so happy. She started to glow. But quickly controlled herself. She thought to herself...

'Onee-chan...Michelle...I'll always have you two close to my dark, frozen heart. I hope one day someone will unfreeze it and light it up, so it can shine bright. Brighter than the sun above...'

Lucy was smiling just and little. And she can feel her heart move since she met the fairy in pink hair...and everyone else...Gray, Erza, Wendy, Carla, Happy. And especially Nastu.

You just found out how close Mavis and Lucy were in the past. But who cares for the past because it's only the beginning for Lucy and team Nastu...
