New Friends

Teala rolled her eyes over her shoulder. "Oh, shut up, Chandler. You're just mad that I got to meet her first."

"Yeah, because I'm so jealous of my little sister for getting to meet the new girl." He joked as he slung his arm around her.

Soon, I had three new smiling faces in front of me. "Serenity, this is my brother, Chandler, and my boyfriend, Dylan. Guys, this is Serenity. She's Australian!"

"Listen, I'd love to stay and talk to you guys, but I really have to get my things into my room. So, if you don't mind..."

"We can help you." Chandler said. "You never truly know someone until you've helped them move in across the street." I shrugged and handed each of them a box. It took half as much time as it would have if it were just me, so we got everything in my room before dark. Even my bed!

"So, Serenity," Teala started as we walked down my driveway. "Now that we're friends, we should all totally do something together. After we shower, though. A day of basketball is not good for hygiene."

I laughed and crossed my arms over my chest. "What did you have in mind?"

"Well, I was thinking-" She stopped abruptly and looked over my shoulder. She gasped and screamed higher than I'd ever heard. "BABY!" She pointed behind me and pushed me out of the way, trying to get to my mom who was holding Cherry.
