It was a normal night at the base. The Sun was falling and ceasefire day was ending. Medic was cleaning up the last of his supplies when the rain came pouring down. He looked out the window in his office. It was dark outside, the red-orange ground now a dark Crimson. Medic slipped into his own deep thoughts as his eyes aimlessly wandered the outside world. As he watched, he noticed a dark figure stumbling around outside. "Vhat zhe...?" Medic mumbled, leaning in to get a closer look. "Who could zhat be out zhere?" He couldn't make out who it was, so he quickly put on his coat and walked to the entrance door. When he opened the door, the muffled rain erupted into a load roar. He stepped outside and looked around while staying under the protection of the small amount of roof above him. Medic scanned the area, looking for the mysterious being. Soon, he began to call out the names of his team mates. When he almost lost all hope of finding the person, Medic noticed them lying on the ground a little far from him. "Ah, hallo?" No answer. Instead, the person in the ground curled up into a tiny ball. This definitely isn't one of the others... Medic thought. He quickly opened an umbrella and walked to the mystery person. When he arrived at the spot, Medic held the umbrella over the person and kneeled by them. They had a blanket wrapped around them, making it impossible to tell who it was. Carefully, he pulled the blanket back to reveal the face of a teenage girl. Medic slightly gasped. "Oh mein Gott!" He carefully picked the girl up with one arm while holding the umbrella? He ran inside and went back to the MediBay. Several of the others saw him, confused at why there was someone in his arms.
"Yo, who's dat doc?"
"What the bloody hell?"
He ignored them all and headed straight towards the Medical room. Carefully, he laid the girl down on the bed and slowly took off the blanket. The moment the soaked blanket came off, he set to work, examining her and letting the image sink in. She had long black hair and a tanned skin. Her eyes were closed so there was no telling what color they were. She began to moan and Medic noticed her shivering. "It'll be alright, Frau," Medic whispered. "I vill make you feel better. Trust me..." She Mae no sign or sound of protest. Medic began to remove her wet clothes. The blanket could only hold so much rain so most of it had drenched the girl. Medic looked around for something to put over her, however he could only find Scouts shirt that he had left in the room the other day and his pants. However, Scout's pants were a bit messy from the battle the day before. So, he just placed his own coat over her legs. "Zhere, zhat's better..." Her eyes remained closed. "Now, I need you to rest. I vill be back momentarily..." He left the room, locking the door behind him.
"And who was that? Medic turned around and saw the rest of his behind him.
"Oh,..vell you see..." After Medic nervously explained, the others began to discuss what to do with her.
"Well, we can't kick her out or those darn BLUs will see her," Engie said. "And we all know that'll be bad for her. But, if we keep the youngin' she'll also be in danger and could be a nuisance." Pyro showed his agreement by showing a thumbs up.
"MAYBE WE SHOU-"
"Quiet, Sodger!" Demoman muttered. "The lassie's restin in there!"
Soldier frowned before continuing. "Maybe we should recruit her..." He said. "If she wants to of course. Anyway, she'll be in trouble somehow. Besides, with the "amazing kill streak" the BLUs have been getting these past few weeks, we'll need any help we can get." Murmurs of agreement rose in the small group.
"What about the Voice? Would she agree?" Spy asked.
"Who knows," Sniper said. "That woman's a bloody mystery if you ask me. We can take the chance though."
"Maybe we should get information about this here girl before we keep her IF she agrees to stay. Where her family is and what not," Engineer told them. They all agreed in that.
"Anyvay, ve must vait for die Frau to vake up," Medic said, looking back at the door. I wonder what she'll choose... He thought. Probably no...I mean what girl would want to kill people for a living that's NOT Frau Pauling? She must be insane...
