I didn't remember going to sleep or waking up but my eyes were open and my head was on the table, I lifted my head to see it was daylight and yawned as my boss in "Christ Jack you look like shit" he muttered and I chuckled but nodded.
"I guess I do" I admitted it and rubbed the back of my neck before he threw a book down in front of me.
"More complaints?" I asked in confusion yet it all said the same thing 'wolves, wolves, WOLVES' I starred down as I flicked the pages then closed the book.
"Maybe they're confused it could be wild dogs" I pointed out but he took none of it
"Those woods are not safe Jack, what don't you get?" He asked and I rubbed my temples.
"I guess you're right..." I finally admitted after a long cold stare from my boss.
"Good were sending a team out tonight and you're going to now go get some sleep... and a shower..." He groaned and I nodded in agreement before getting my stuff together and going home.
Wolves kept running through my head as I drove home, I parked outside and stopped the car to see my gorgeous wife with our three kids. I smiled and got out before going to the front door, after locking the car of course, and opened it to get a warm smell of coffee and pancakes "hmm" I smiled.
"Daddy" my daughter giggled and ran over and I picked her up before kissing my wife on the cheek.
"Smells lovely"
