Chapter 3
Haley
I actually spent my night downstairs, fully dressed, in my seat. What had I done that had scared off all the boys like that? Did they know I was a super fan and they were weirded out? And Princeton...did he not...like me?
I didn't know what to think, but in the morning all the boys filed downstairs. We were in Key West, Florida, a very hot and tropical area. They were going to have a concert tonight. And I had to pick out their outfits.
"Hi, guys..." I said softly as they gathered their things for the hotel. It was silent for a minute. Then Prodigy shrugged his shoulders.
"Hey."
Prodigy
I didn't want to completely alienate the girl, but last night the boys and I had a talk. It was only fair that none of us could have her. That included Jacob, who got annoyed, but agreed. Brothers came first.
"Well, um...concert tonight." She grinned. Roc smiled.
"Yeah, we're pretty pumped."
Haley nodded and stood up. "Well...I'll just get off the bus and...go on into the hotel..."
As soon as she was gone, Jacob plopped onto a seat.
"This isn't fair. I had her, I had her!" He grumbled.
"Look, we all like her, and we got hundreds of girls who want us. Besides it'd be awkward to have a relationship with you know...a girl...who works for us."
"But let me have her. Just once. Please?" He begged. "I'm the one who first said hi to her when she moved in, remember?" He added a huff.
"Guys?" I looked to the other boys for support. They all rolled their eyes at him.
"Look man," Ray bent down and looked at Jacob. "It's not fair that we can't be happy too."
"Whatever, you guys would be perfectly fine without her." He then turned his head and shook it. "You know what, I think I will go out with her anyways!"
"No way," I said quickly.
"Yeah! I will!" He stood up. "You all don't control me!"
"Fine!" Roc snarled. "If you do that, then we'll do all in our power to make sure your relationship is hell!"
"Shut up." Jacob grabbed his bag and stormed off the bus.
Princeton
"Hey, Haley." I jogged up to her in the hotel lobby. She was sitting with her uncle on a couch, waiting for our manager to check us all in.
"Hi," she said, a bit of sadness in her voice. I sighed, we'd probably confused and hurt her all in one morning.
"Can I talk to you privately?" I glanced at her uncle nervously. I forgot all about him.
"Yeah..." her eyes lit up a bit as we walked around the hotel.
"Look...the guys...I really like you. Like...a lot. And I was wondering if you...wanted to go out with me? Like...on a date."
She froze. Like literally, stopped walking, and her mouth dropped.
"Haley?" I shook her, a bit concerned.
Haley
"Haley? Haley?" He kept repeating, but I still needed a few seconds to take this in. Princeton. Jacob Perez. Wanted to go on a date. With me. A girl whose been dreaming of things like this forever.
When I let this really sink in, I turned to him, grinning. "Yeah! I'd love to go on a date with you."
In all honesty, it would be my very first date. With a super gorgeous celebrity. Things couldn't get better than this.
"Cool." His arm casually went around my waist, pulling me close by the hip. "Will your uncle mind...?"
"No," I said, a little too quickly. I hoped he didn't. "I mean...I doubt it."
"Cool," he repeated, laughing lightly. I giggled a bit, and we made our way back to the lobby. The other boys had made their way in, and were glaring slightly at Princeton.
"What's up with them?" I asked. "Everyone's been acting weird."
"Um. I pulled a prank on them this morning. Heh. You know...." He trailed off.
I didn't doubt him, because he was a joker. "You're so stupid," I teased. "Come on. Time to tell my uncle."
