PART TWO - DK

"How old is this Scorpion, possibly?" Catseye asked the others from the back seat.

"Our informant did not know exactly but he simply says he can be what we least expect." replied Kilo.

"I heard that one before. This might be some sort of a tactic to mislead anyone from finding him." Nexus, who has fully recovered through months of rest, wanted to start the argument.

"This person must slightly have connections to the Hunters in some ways. Even I cannot track enough data about the Hunters' whereabouts with my resources and then, this Scorpion? C'mon."

"He's right. He must be related to someone among the Hunters, right? Everyone in the Opposition are men so perhaps one of their spouses or sisters. It can be anyone." said Catseye suspiciously.

"Then he's doing all this for money? That's it?" I asked.

"That one's for sure. That explains the bounty back there." DK interrupted. He was referring to a large bag of money Nexus lately put inside the trunk. "Scorpion needs it for his protection."

"Yeah, right. And money's everything." Kilo said jokingly.

"But getting our hands on in this list will mean victory." DK argued.

"So the place's heavily guarded?" I asked with anticipation.

"We're expecting it. Scorpion cannot dare to be that notorious without thinking about losing his life." Nexus quietly answered. He changed lately these past few months since his capture; he must be in some kind of trauma or most probably, as we all believe, he just lost his mood in such a long-term basis.

"I've discovered the gang has million-dollar worth of investments and its largest property is in Miami where the gang's open for deals. DK and I guess this person's acting as the puppet and that there's more controlling Scorpion who in turn benefits from his portrayal. A partnership, per se." Kilo explained.

"Definitely." said Catseye.

"Yes, it is. This can't be a one-man's effort. Scorpion's an inviting name, though." I responded. "So we're definitely expecting fights today." I continued combing a few strands of hair through the strong wind rushing against the convertible. DK was paying attention from the driver's seat. "That's why we're all in it, er."

"Not exactly but there's high risk involved in this undercover. We cannot expect a friendly company even in a get-up like this." said Catseye. She was referring to the unusually casual outfit they're currently wearing instead of their dark tights. I'm aware we don't want to identify ourselves in the scene; we're not certain on whose alliance this company is.

"How if they recognize us? What will happen?" I argued.

"It won't matter as long as we get the list." DK answered.

"And these guys really have an appetite for money so the bait is on them." Kilo continued. "Unless, they decides to kill us or capture us so they might as well make a deal out of us with the Hunters. That's the worst case scenario."

"It's either the list or nothing." DK said. "Aside from the entertainment."

Catseye and Kilo looked at each other as if reading thoughts while Nexus put on a lazy smirk on his face. I wanted to argue whether his mind was ready for the fight but DK's presence reminded me not to. He hasn't even taken a break longer than we had after his near death.

"The Empress expects the list. We need it to take down the rest of the Hunters and make them pay." said Catseye with her natural self-motivation.

As we headed closer to the coast, the sky grew darker and we started to talk about the negotiation. DK would need to get behind since he's been quite notorious for killing too many Hunters from his close encounter with death and we decided Kilo to make the deal since he's quickest to think. Besides, his face was somehow typically American and could be easily mistaken as an ordinary civilian. Nevertheless, once we noticed that they might have recognized us, of course, any of us would be ready to advance for the kill.
