KELLIN'S POV

I walk into school the next day with determination flowing through my veins. The determination to make things better between me and Vic. As I'm strutting through the hallway, I spot Vic talking to Jaime by his locker. He looks over Jaime's shoulder and sees me. He smiles sadly at me but his expression changes to a surprised one when he realizes that I'm walking towards him. Jaime realizes that Vic is no longer paying attention to him and he looks over his shoulder at me. I start feeling really uncomfortable and want to back out so badly but push myself not to. Jaime turns back to Vic and says something before Vic nods and Jaime walks off. I stop in front of Vic and he looks at me shocked.

"Hey." He says softly.

"Hi." I reply nervously.

A lump rises in my throat as I begin to think about what I'm going to say. I think about the letter and about how much of a dick I was to him. My vision starts to become blurry with tears and I try to blink them away but they just slide down my cheeks.

"Hey, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Vic asks worried.

I shake my head trying not to breakdown. Vic surprisingly wraps his arms around me and I choke out a small sob.

"Come on, let's go somewhere more private and talk, okay?" He says quietly.

I nod pulling away from the hug and wiping the tears off of my face. I follow Vic down the hall and around the corner into an abandoned classroom. He sits on a desk and I sit on the desk in front of him.

"What's wrong, Kells?" he asks again.

"I'm just so sorry." I squeak out as tears fill up my eyes again.

"Don't apologize, Kellin." Vic sighs.

"But I was such an idiot." I admit sheepishly.

I look down at my lap and blink away the tears that are clouding my vision.

"You weren't. I was interfering where I obviously wasn't wanted. I should be the one apologizing." He says.

"You were just trying to help." I say quietly.

"Well, I'm glad you've realized that." He says smiling lightly making me smile.

The sound of the bell ringing fills the classroom.

"We should go before someone comes in here." Vic suggests and I nod. We leave and walk down to my locker.

"I'll see you later then?" Vic says hopefully.

I nod and he smiles before walking off.

"Hey Quinn!" I hear Jeremy call.

I sigh turning around. There's no point in running. I guess things don't get better.

---------

"Hey." Vic says appearing at my locker.

"Hey." I reply quietly, looking down trying to hide the forming bruise on my face.

"What's wrong?" Vic asks concerned.

"Nothing." I lie grabbing my bag out of my locker and lifting it over my shoulder.

"Okay." He says skeptically. "Can I walk you home?"

I look up shocked forgetting all about the bruise. Vic's eyes go wide before his shocked expression is replaced by one filled with anger.
