Chapter 1 - Feels
Vanessa dressed for school, she looked at the wide mirror on her vanity table and brushed her long curly brown hair as her large caramel eyes stared back at her. She then picked up a pink lip gloss from her tray of lip glosses only ranging from red to pink in colour. She twisted the shiny metallic cap and revealed a bud coated in a thick mixture of pink. The smell of the gloss tickled Vanessa's senses and made her haste in the application of gloss onto her full lips.
"You look awfully pretty today Ness, what a change, I thought it was a completely different person." A shrilling voice drilled Vanessa's ears as she sipped the cappucino in a black mug, it was lukewarm by the time she decided for it to touch her lips; she hated anything steaming hot; food, drink or people. She was joined by Jessica who pulled out the chair beside the long table at their dorm dine room.
"No Jessica, I look like this everyday. I cant believe you don't notice." Vanessa replied, a small smirk forming at the left side of her face, excited at the reaction she recieved. She hid her excitement with a long sip of coffee.
Jessica was thrown back by the response and her jaw dropped wide like she heard a ghost. Shewas stunned by the over-confidence Vanessa beamed at her, it was a change; usually Vanessa would just ignore her existence which was why she was more than happy to throw curses and insults at her everyday as she knew she didn't mind her or care; for a period of time she assumed she was deaf except when she realised she wasn't when Vanessa had her unpredictable outbursts. It was a change though; she actually responded to her.
Vanessa pulled away from the table and stood, she walked towards the sink, washed her mug and left the speechless Jessica. She was still excited about the feeling of what she did to Jessica and couldn't hold it in so she rushed out of the scene to release. But by the time she she entered her room, it was gone. The excitement faded. She sighed. The bell rang, the second period of the day was about to start but Jace was still two buildings away from his next class. He gently stepped onto the ground; one foot at a time. He walked like the King of the school and he enjoyed the glare he made and its effect at the people whom he treated and they who acted like they were all his peasants. But as how humans are, they were afraid of anything different, they chose to ignore Jace and avoid contact with him - but this only added to Jace's ego. These lowly people can't even look me in the eye, Jace thought as he shifted his way around the school. His aura was strong, people couldn't even bare to be in close range with him.
Suddenly, a tiny presence heavily bumped into his hard body. He was appalled to be touched, unable to fathom that he was touched by a peasant. He turned to see the lowlife that had the guts to come near him nevertheless even touch him. But sadly, he found that the lowlife did not even care, she continued to stomp her way along the hallway. He felt strange - a burning sensation flowed through his veins; he knew he had to get back at her. He quickly grabbed his phone and snapped a shot of the girl quickly distancing herself from him. There was no one stopping Vanessa in arriving in her class on time. Though she was stranded in her dorm toilet by one of the people at her dorm; locked. She did not have her phone on her nor did she know anyone in her dorm but she continued to knock on the door until someone opened it. It didn't help that nobody was around by the time she made her last minute urinary release. She almost lost hope and considered kicking the door down but she thought about how she would not be able to pay for the repair and so she kept still and carried on with the consecutive knocking. By the time her knuckles became bruised and numb, a voice penetrated through the heavy doors.
"Is anyone there? I really need to pee!" A squirmy voice screeched, Vanessa cringed at the voice but was hopeful to find that somebody was still in the dorms and not in class.
"Yeah, but I've been locked from the outside so you'll need to unlock it so you can pee." Vanessa shouted back hoping the person from behind could hear her.
"What?" The person questioned.
"I said you have to unlock it from the outside!"
"You've been locked in?" She shouted back.
"I'll answer your questions later, just open the door!"
