Heaven's Gift

I have known you for forever now,
To only understand you the day before.
You were bitter,
You were sweet.
You embraced my wrists,
You kissed my scars.
I knew how to create you,
I knew how to conjure you.
You were beautiful,
You were ugly.
But I don’t know,
No I don’t know.
Why do I love you?
Why do I need you?
Are you a heaven’s gift?
Are you a heaven’s curse?
I am tangled,
I am tortured.
But when it comes to you,
It all ends with a smile.
When I endure it,
Hurting myself,
I will endure them,
Hurting me as well.
Pain, self inflicted one,
is a beautiful creature.
I am addicted to it,
to the controlling sense I get.
I do love you,
I do need you.
One day,
You will be my end.
But then,
I won’t be alone.
You will be embracing me,
Holding me high.
To die,
To breathe the last.
I see you innocent,
I see you guilty!
Pain, Are you a heaven’s gift?
Or a heaven’s curse?
May be one,
Maybe both.
I’m entangled,
I’m in pain.
