"It's been so lovely to see you again Lucy! We've all missed you around here, you're welcome to come round anytime." Ashton's mother said as we finished dinner.
"Thankyou." I said, I could feel my cheeks going slightly red.
"We're gonna go in my room and study okay mum?" Ashton said standing up from the table.
"Sure study... I got you. I won't disturb." Ashton's mum joked.
"No mum! I was being serious. Calum might be coming round later."
"What about Michael and Luke? Have you fallen out?" Ashton's mum enquired.
"Nah, Michael has to study and Luke is 'ill'."
Ashton's mum just nodded and stood up and started clearing the plates as I followed Ashton into his room.
We sat down on Ashton's bed and to my surprise he actually grabbed a big notepad and a textbook and opened it up to study. I thought he was just using that as an excuse to hang out.
"Calum will be here in like ten minutes, you can hang out with him whilst I study haha." Ashton said smirking.
Why was he smirking? Was he in on a joke I wasn't apart of?
"Okay?" I simply replied back.
Calum got here a few minutes earlier than we had thought he would arrive, he came straight into Ashton's bedroom flinging his shoes off and making himself at home. You could tell he spend a lot of time here. Calum grinned at me before coming over and joining me to sit on Ashton's bed. This then made Ashton grab his stuff and get up. What the hell?
"I need my mum to help me with these things, then I'm gonna ring Luke for a bit. I'll be about forty minutes then I'll give you a lift home Lucy." Ashton said walking over to his bedroom door.
Why was he giving us such a precise time? He was being so strange. I watched him walk out of the door, shutting it behind him before I turned to look at Calum.
"What the hell is up with him?" I asked.
"I don't have a clue." Calum said.
I could tell that he was lying, you could just see it on his face and how when he spoke his voice went a little higher as he tried to cover it up. It was kinda cute actually. I moved myself into the middle of Ashton's bed, crossing my legs and arms. It was freezing in here.
"So what do you wanna do?" I asked Calum.
"Uhm, I'm not sure. Wanna play twenty one questions?"
It wasn't like there was anything else to do, how bad could the game get? Calum practically knew everything about me already.
"Sure, you first."
"Do you have a boyfriend?" Calum asked.
"Nope. Do you have a girlfriend?"
"No. Are you seeing someone?"
"No again haha, are you?"
"Well no, I kinda wish I was seeing this one person though. Last time you kissed someone?"
For some reason this weird feeling flushed through me when Calum said he wished he was seeing this one person. Jealousy maybe? Surely not. Me and Calum were friends, nothing more than that.
"Uhm about a year ago." I said answering Calum's question before asking him one. "When did you last kiss someone?"
I was just repeating the same questions Calum was giving me but what could I say I was curious, he was so curious into my non existent love life why couldn't I be interested in his?
