When I walked into school that morning, heads turned and girls sighed. I winked at some of them and you could see their eyes lighting up. I was a freshman in high school, and ever since 6th grade, the last year of elementary school, I've been known as the school playboy, but that doesn't mean I don't like one special girl... Anyway, I was super sporty. Not only was I on the school football team, but I was also on the baseball and basketball team. I had made it on the soccer team, but I decided not to join because I thought I would be too busy.
I'm about 5 feet, 6 inches, really blonde hair and I'm kinda tough looking too. Girls are always asking for my phone number and following me around like I'm the center of the universe. I don't show it, but honestly, it gets annoying. Anyway, am I forgetting anything? Oh right, by the way, my name is Steven Martinez. I'm pretty sure you already met Meredith, right? Well I've known that girl since 3rd grade, when she first joined my elementary school. I have had a major crush on her ever since. Did she happen to say anything about me? No? Oh well.
Anyways, I was walking through the hallway when a hand landed on my shoulder. "Well hey there big boy," a girl said all seductively. I turned around sadly sighing. Behind me was Savannah Mendoza. I looked off in the distance as she continued talking to me. "Stevey, are you even listening to me?"
"What?" I asked, trying to remember. "Oh yeah, sorry."
"So you heard me?"
"Yeah, definitely," I said, staring off again.
"Oh really? What did I say?"
"Stevey, are you even listening to me?" I said, mimicking her voice.
She started laughing, "Oh my gosh, you're so funny! Anyway, like I was saying, do you think... Stevey! What are you looking at?"
I came back to reality and quickly said, "Oh, nothing!"
"Really? Her? Forget you!" She screamed, noticing who I was looking at. She stormed off as I looked on with a confused look. People were staring at me and I noticed my best friend. I shrugged when he looked at me with a questioned look.
I looked back at the girl I was watching, only to find she was gone. I sighed and walked off to say hi to my friends.
