"Daddy, daddy!" 7-year-old Peyton Carter said as she hopped down the last step of their staircase to greet her father. "Good morning princess," Shawn said, bending down to pick up his daughter and give her a kiss on the cheek. The two made their way towards the kitchen for breakfast. Shawn sat Peyton in her seat and waited for the housekeeper to bring them their food. "Daddy will you pick me up from school today?" Peyton asked her dad. She asks this question almost every day, hoping he would give her a new answer. "Sorry baby girl. I'll still be at work. You know that," he simply sipped his coffee, and took quick bites of his meal before he dismissed himself and went to work.

"Good morning Mr. Carter, your meetings for today are written out for you on your desk" Lauryn, the receptionist said to him. Shawn greeted her with a head nod and warm smile, and headed to his office. Once settling down, there was a knock at the door and Shawn invited the mystery guest.

"Hey Shawn! How's your week been so far?" Kelly asked. Kelly, Shawn's co-worker, is the only colleague he communicates with, even if the conversation doesn't pertain to work-related issues. In fact, Kelly was indeed his friend outside of work and just like his family and friends, she wanted him to live a little and loosen up.

"What's up Kels. It's always the same, work and Peyton." Shawn said looking up from his pile of papers. "So I heard that you're the one who's giving out gifts this year. Do you have a clue how you're gonna go about it?" She asks, sitting down in one of the chairs in front of him. Kelly had a natural ability to converse with practically anyone, and genuinely get to know each individual for themselves.

"Uhhh yeah I thought about it when Davis told me earlier this week and that's about the only time. I don't even shop for myself so how can I shop for the whole office?" He says to his friend. She looks down at his desk that had a compartment of different business cards he'd collected over the years from various encounters, but the one on the very top stood out the most. It was a business card in bright pink, high-resolution gloss with the words "BEYONCÉ KNOWLES: Personal Shopper" boldly written in the center. It was as if God laid out the answer for Shawn in plain day. "Hey who's card is this?" Kelly asks. Shawn looks up to see the card and slightly smiles. "Oh that's from this lady I met the other day at Starbucks. Name's Beyoncé and we were both in a rush, but had time to talk a little and exchange contacts." He says with a shrug.

"Well her profession says personal shopper on the card so maybe you can call her up and set a meeting or something." She says. Shawn gives it some thought and agrees. "I didn't even pay attention to that, and I guess Lauryn can set that up for me," he says, nonchalantly.

"Lauryn? Shawn you're perfectly capable of calling the girl up yourself. Ain't nothing wrong with your fingers. You're so lazy." Kelly shakes her head. Shawn has always had a habit of feeling like because he has people to assist him in everything he does, it justifies his laziness because they're being compensated in return. "I mean I guess you're right. I'll call her up and ask." He says. Feeling satisfied, Kelly talked more to him before she left his office to find someone else she can bother.

"A meeting tomorrow morning at 9 a.m.? Okay got it, thanks again and see you there." Beyoncé jumped up and screamed as she ended the phone call to her potential client. Her first offer to be someone's personal shopper came from Shawn, the guy from Starbucks she met. Heading towards the kitchen to find a snack, she sang the lyrics to an old Teena Marie song. She settles with Cheetos as the snack and heard the taps of little feet making their way to her. "BB, BB!" Beyoncé's precious little niece, Mayah, ran up to her with her arms stretched out. "Hey Auntie's baby. You woke up from your nap, huh?" Beyoncé cooed at the adorable 5-year-old and sat her down in her lap and gave her a few Cheetos. Nicole, her sister-in-law, greeted Beyoncé as she headed towards the fridge for a drink. " I heard you squealing a minute ago so what was that about?" She asked, pouring a cup of juice in the glass. "Oh my bad but it was about a possible job or rather a meeting about being someone's personal shopper. Even if I don't get the client, I'm just excited that I got an offer so soon since quitting my job." Beyoncé said showcasing her perfectly white set of teeth.

"Aww I'm so happy for you Bey. That means you're gonna be paid girl! " Nicole said as she snapped her fingers and both ladies got up to do a little dance. "But I can't get my hopes up too fast because I may not get it but I'm still excited!" Both ladies sat down so Beyoncé could share more details while little Mayah played with her toys on the floor.

Anthony and Nicole started off as high school sweethearts, and did things the right way for as long as Beyoncé could remember. From going off to college together, getting married, and then having a beautiful baby; Beyoncé aspired for that kind of love and longevity someday. Almost pushing 30 next year, Beyoncé wanted a relationship that would bring her happiness. She didn't expect for Shawn Carter to give her a call so soon in the week, yet alone for a job opportunity, so she was going to do her best to leave a great impression.
