{Age, nine}
{Grade, three}

Dear Ashton,

You weren't in my class this year, but that didn't stop you from picking on me at different times.

On the playground, before and after school, at assembly's when our whole grade had to sit together etc.

This year wasn't totally horrible for me, I suppose. A new boy came to our school. More specifically our grade, my class. He was kinda shy at first, but when you met him, really met him, got close to him, became his friend? He wa the loudest, most bubbly person you would probably ever meet. But I'm guessing you didn't know that, since you took to making him feel like shit for hanging out with me.

That was a pretty dick move.

I mean, did you have any decency? The kid had just come from another city, and was new to how things went here. He didn't know that I was unpopular and that you were and third grade King. He didn't know that you got picked first for everything, and I was last? He didn't know who won or who lost. But you didn't care.

This boy continues to be... Um, this boy continued to be be my friend all through my elementary and secondary school years and or that, I am so greatful. He was definitely the best person in my life. He was there when my parents weren't or when Jack and Ben couldn't help.

So, this short, to the point letter isn't really about me. It's about him.

The one I left here, on earth.

The one who had suffered for being my friend.

This letter is about my best fiend,Calum Thomas Hood.

You many not be able to apologize to me, but apologize to him,
Luke.
