Every morning, students say goodbye to their parents as they make their way out of the house, to school, not knowing what the day lies ahead for them. One day at Weston Heights can be as terrifying as the next, sitting with anxiety and concern, wondering which day will be your last.
Once a year, Weston Heights gives 15 students the privilege to host a game that will leave the school on lockdown for a long 12 hours. But no one knows which day in which the game will occur.
But this isn't just any game.
This is Hide & Seek; Weston Heights edition.
Students are given an hour before lockdown to choose their survival groups, and the base they will all return to after lockdown has ended. Students are instructed to wait at their base for a merely five minutes for two reasons; to make sure all members of their group have returned safely, and also to halt until the siren of clearness is sounded. After the alarm is sounded, the surviving students have a chilling 1 minute, 45 seconds to exit the building and out to the buses that will be waiting to return them to their homes. Any students left in the building after those 105 seconds will be locked inside and slaughtered shortly afterwards.
15 students are - again - chosen to host the game. The objective of this disport is simple; evade being dispatched.
