t was just a normal Tuesday morning for students attending Weston Heights High School. Most were expecting just another normal day full of literature and wisdom. Others were disturbed by their thoughts of what this day may bring. Students piled into the hallways, greeting their friends and heading to their lockers to prepare for an 8-hour edification day. Little did they know, this school day would last longer than usual; 12 hours to be exact.

"Got me up all night, all I'm singin' is love songs, she got me up all night, constant drinkin' and love songs-"
knock knock
"Corey! Get out of the bathroom!" I sighed In frustration and poked my head out of the shower curtain.
"Cameron, you were in the bathroom when I woke up, what could you possibly need to get in for?!"
"Doesn't matter, just hurry up!"
"It's too early to deal with your bull, Cameron!" I turned off the shower and stepped out, wrapping myself in a towel in the process. I dried myself off before slipping into my black crop top, skull cardigan, denim high-waist shorts, black stockings and black Dr. Martens. I gave my hair a quick straighten, put on my beanie, and smoothed on some red lipstick before exiting the bathroom, only to be greeted by my impatient twin brother. I gave him an innocent smile and patted his chest.
"Bathroom's all yours, little bro."
"You take forever in the morning, which makes us both late. And for the record, I'm the oldest one. Move." he snapped before brushing past me and going into the bathroom. I giggled at his annoyance.
"Kids, come and get breakfast!"
"Coming, mom!" I headed down the hall to my little sister -Penny-'s room. I knocked and waited for her to give me permission to come in.
"Hey, Pen!"
"Hey, Cor." she smiled.
"Mom wants us to come down for breakfast."
"Kay." Penny slipped on her shoes and we zipped down the stairs, our tummies rumbling.
"Hi, mommy." Penny greeted our mother before hugging her tightly around her waist.
"Goodmorning, sweetie." my mother beamed. "I made you guys pumpkin pancakes. But eat quickly, or you're gonna be late." She didn't have to tell us twice. Both Penny and I began scarfing down our breakfast, closing our eyes in delight.
"We're missing two souls..." My mom put her hands on her hips. Penny giggled and I smiled.
"Cameron's in the bathroom doing lord knows what. Where's dad?"
My mother shrugged. "No idea.." She looked slightly disappointed but it quickly shifted into a more cheerful look. "Let's get you guys to school."
"Actually, I'm gonna take my board today." I took one final sip of my orange juice before putting my dirty dishes in the sink, hugged my mom goodbye and kissed Penny on the cheek before grabbing my backpack and skateboard and heading out of the door. I was immediately hit with humid, muggy air. Ugh, Arizona weather.
I threw my board onto the pavement and stepped on with my left foot, giving myself a boost with my right. I made it to school within minutes, stepped off of my board, stomped on the end of it and caught it in my fingers. I made my way up the cement steps when I heard my name being called.
"Corey!" I put my walking to a halt and cheesed when I saw who'd called for me. I strutted to my boyfriend and pecked his light pink lips.
