Three days left

Today was the day. Gray had already given instructions to Lucy who, even though she didn't want to destroy what she thought Lisanna and Natsu thought they had, would help out in the plan by handing the letter to Natsu.

The letter was quite short, since Gray had never been very good with words. But its message was clear.

"Go to Lucy's house, then continue down the road until you see a big, blue house. There you should turn left. And then you walk along that street for just a little bit, then to the right you'll see a grey house, number 93. Second floor, you'll recognise the name. There's a doorbell!"

Gray was at his apartment, having walked that exact route already. He sat in his favourite arm chair, reading a book. It was a quite eventful story, even though Gray was only a few chapters in. It told the tale of a boy named Josh who had been cursed as a two year old with a magic that made his hands able to shoot light beams. His parents left him to an old woman because she was a mage who could take care of their magical child. But she was very mean to Josh while he was growing up and now as a young teenager, he was finally getting his revenge.

Gray read for an hour until he realised Natsu still hadn't showed up. Maybe something came up at the guild, Gray thought. Maybe he'll just be a bit late.

So Gray continued reading his book, eager to see what would happen next. Josh was standing on a cliff, looking at the sea. Behind him was his step mother's favourite spell, the haunting ghost. Josh knew there was no way to defeat the magical creature, and the only way to escape the ghost would be to jump into the fierce water.

Gray had become tired as he was reading and he didn't get to know what happened to Josh before the day after. He fell asleep there in his favourite arm chair with the darkness of the night in its own way shining through his windows.
