Chapter 3
It's hard to sleep that night I have trouble getting comfortable with my hurt rib. I toss and turn trying to find a place to get comfortable.
I hear Carl getting up he sits with me on the bed and I sit up next to him he puts his arm around me, something he's never done before. I sit there and we talk for hours. He tells me about where he was before he came to Alexandria. I lived here since the start so I have nothing to tell. But now that we've left things are going to be a lot different. He tells me of the prison and the governor and the time he got shot. I listen for hours with interest. I here people getting up and walking around the house, pots and pans being moved around etc.
Enid opens my door
"Have you seen Ca-" she notices him sitting next to and closes the door without another word.
Me and Carl exchange confused glances and decide it's time to start the day. During breakfast Enid glares at me. I wonder what her problem is? Her and Carl aren't dating, she's dating Ron. So why is she acting so weird?
"Carl take some weapons and Enid, Ron and, Skyler and go try and find some supplies. But don't go too far and if you see a walker shoot it. Don't risk anything." Rick says standing up.
I put my dish in the sink and go to my room to change. I wear some black jeans boots and a thick jacket. I put my hair into a side braid, something that doesn't take any effort to do.
We all leave to go hunt in the surrounding houses. We go two houses down to find a house we've never been to. Carl leads his gun pointed straight ahead. I follow and Enid after me, Ron in the back keeping watch. We scout through the whole house, no walkers or people. Carl raids the kitchen while I go into the bedrooms to find new clothes and Enid goes into the adjoining bathroom to find medicine or first aid.
"Skyler come here and help." Enid yells from the bathroom.
"Coming!" I say dropping the top I was holding and walking into the bathroom.
I don't see Enid in here?
"Enid?" I ask looking around.
The door slams behind me. I turn around
"ENID!!? ARE YOU THERE?" I yell pounding on the door
A note slides under the door it says
"Karma's a b*tch"
