I sat up really fast and take in a deep breath when I realize I'm in my room. I had another bad dream about freshmen year. I grab my kindle to see what time it is, I groan when I see that it's six o'clock and I have to get up in thirty minutes. I sit up and just stair at the wall for a minute, wondering how my second month of high school is gonna be. Finally I stand up, grab my kindle and head for the bathroom, I plug in my straightener and get my makeup bag out of the cabinet. Then I plug in my ear buds and listen to music while I do my hair. When I finally finish I go into my room and pick out what to wear, then head back into the bathroom to do my makeup. I check the time and it's now six twenty eight and so I turn off my alarm before it starts going off.
When I get to first period, Carly is already getting dressed out for gym. I open my locker and ask her about her morning. "Horrible, my little brother got sick and I had to watch him and he threw up so...." I make a gross face, "Well tell him I said I hope he feels better." The late bell rings and me and Carly rush out the locker room, we go to our spots and Mrs. Cummings checks out ID's. "I think it's stupid we have to have these. I'm sure the school makes a lot of money off of them." I hear Jenny say behind me, she's another one of my best friends. "I agree I've already gave about ten dollars because I lost mine once and then forgot it a few times." When I finish my sentence the teacher blows the whistle and tells us to go to our corners. Everyday we have to run for about six to eight minutes, but not at the same time, we run for three minutes the walk for a minute then run again. When we finish the teacher decides that it's a free day and Carly grabs a football for us to throw.
During us throwing the football the guys from weight lifting run across the balcony of the gym. I guess it's not a bad thing, they are fit and they stair at us to so. While they were running I notice one of them is new, he's really cute and already has nice muscles. "Hey Carly!" I yell and wave for her to come over. "What?" She asks, "did u see the new guy running around the balcony?!" I whisper really hoping she noticed him so I wouldn't have to point him out. "Yeah he's cute but I was mainly watching Ben."
Benjamin is Carly's boyfriend she got in eighth grade. It's quite a cute story, they were best friends in elementary school and then in seventh grade he ask her to go to the dance with him. Then in eighth grade they had there first kiss when they went on a date to the movies. Which I'm surprised her father didn't kill him for that. He is always real sweet to her and she says he gives good hugs. So I told her he sounds like a keeper.
"Well I figured you were but that other guy is... just flat out drop dead gorgeous." I say and Carly laughs, I smirk and then Mrs. Cummings blows the whistle and says it's time to get dress. While in the locker room, I'm thinking about the new guy. "I hope he doesn't have a girlfriend and we have at least one class together!!" I tell Carly even though I probably don't have a chance with him and he probably already has a girlfriend. "Well good luck." she say 's as the bell rings and it's time for second period. On my way out Madeline is telling me about how she almost made a basket from half court and I'm suddenly rammed to the ground. "Hey sorry, I wasn't looking were I was going." I look up and notice it was the new guy I had ran into, "Here, you dropped your jacket. My name's Justin what's yours." He ask, "Umm Julie and thanks. " I say and try not to smile to much. "No problem. What class are you going to?" "Uuh English, how about you?" Every time he ask me a question it takes me a second to remember what the answer is, I probably sound stupid saying 'umm' or 'uuh' before answering. "I'm going to world history, do you know where Mr. Lines class is?" "Yeah. I'll walk you there." I say, glad I get to show the new guy around.
We stop by my class so I can drop off my book bag and then I show him where his class is. On the way there he puts his arm around me, "So I guess you can tell this is my first day?!" I smile, "Yeah, it's kinda of obvious. I mean it's only the second month of school and you don't know where your class is so..." I feel all happy on the inside and just want to explode but I just try to play it cool. "Do you know where your class after that is?" I ask trying to keep a conversation going. "Umm yeah I think so but maybe we could meet up again, so you could show me were my fifth period is." After he says that I can tell he is kinda flirting. "Sure I won't mind, you want to meet by the office??" "How about we meet at my locker?" He says. "Ok."I say and notice were at Mr. Lines class. "It was nice talking to you and thanks for showing me where my class is." "No problem." I say probably smiling one of those stupid smiles girls do when they see there crush. I go to turn around to go back to English and he grabs my arm. "Can I get a goodbye hug?" He ask and I start laughing "Haha yeah" he opens his arms and I go for it, he hugs me pretty tight and so I do the same back.
fourth period feels like it takes forever and then I didn't see him at lunch, I'm almost running down the hall when the bell rings to go to fifth period. I see Justin at his locker and he smiles when he sees me. I walk up to him and he is getting a binder out of his locker. "Hey. So what's your next class?" I ask, "I go to study hall. Where do you go?" "Mr. Line." I tell him and he closes his locker and puts his arm around me, we start to head to his next class. "You know you have a really pretty smile." He says and I'm thinking 'well you have a really pretty face' but I just say " thanks you have a nice smile to." When we get to his class he ask if he can have another hug and I say sure, but when I go to walk back to my class he calls my name. "Hey Julie, let me give you my number." I smile and go back.
That night we text almost til two o'clock, the wrest of the week is about the same we meet up after the same classes and give each other hugs. Through out the week I find out a lot about him, such as he is a only child, his dad died when he was five, his mom he says is very sweet but is mostly at work and that he's fifteen and can drive. He's fifteen because he started school late, which I'm glad he did. He says he would give me a ride to and from school if I wanted to, of course I said yes.
Friday night I'm about to get in the shower and I hear someone knock on the door. I try to be like a spy and make my way to the door but I end up tripping over a small chair and just take a risk at opening the door. When I open it, it's Justin, "Hey beautiful!" He says and I hug him right away. "Hey what are you doing here?!" "I was wondering if you wanted to come with me on a secret surprise date?!" He ask and I about scream from excitement. I tell him to hold on a minute and run back in and ask my nana if I can go. She says she doesn't care and to be safe, so I grab a jacket and run out the door.
