The two females sat across from each other, a coffee cup in each of their hands as their previous conversation ends and another begins. The blonde female with her hair cut short shifted positions in her seat and let out a content sigh.

"It's been forever since we've spoken, Jessa. I'm sorry I've just been so busy lately." Mary, the blonde female, said as her friend agreed. The two have been best friends for a long time, and really it's a shame that they don't have as much time to spend together anymore.

"No need to apologize, dear. We've both been busy. Anyways, enough of that, you said you've had some news." Jessa said, pulling her brunette hair over one shoulder and focusing her attention on Mary.

"Well...I'm getting married. You remember that bloke I told you about, John Watson? It became official a few days ago, I'd like you to be one of my bridesmaids." The woman announced and then paused as Jessa's mouth nearly dropped with shock. Was this the same Mary she knew? Married...her best friend was getting married!

"Oh my God, Mary! That's wonderful! Me, a bridesmaid, you really have gone mad!" Jess exclaimed and leaned over the table, avoiding the cups of coffee, and hugging her friend tightly. This really was an announcement and an excellent reason to get together again.

"The wedding will be in May, two months or so from now. I'd love it if you'd help plan the wedding, and I can't plan it without my best friend. John has been dying to meet you, and probably because you're another doctor to talk to, and you just have to meet his friend Sherlock Holmes." Mary said, still hugging her tightly before finally letting go and the two going back to their coffee. Jessa sipped her coffee before smiling, nodding her head and giggling a bit.

"I'd love to meet them, and I've actually heard of your fiancé and his friend. They're all over the papers after all, and if they aren't doing anything tomorrow then I'm free and we can start planning the wedding." The brunette suggested and Mary nodded eagerly.

"John is off that day! I don't think they have a case either, I'll ask them and we can have lunch together tomorrow! Either way, I'll still be there since I have nothing planned." Mary said, finishing off her coffee and leaving some money on the table. "I'll pay for this one, we can trade off like the good old days. Tomorrow I'll call you before work and let you know where and who's all coming for lunch. Love you, dear."

Jessa nodded, the two friends once again hugging before parting ways. The brown haired doctor with a pink stripe in her hair walked down the streets, stuffing her slightly chilly hands into her pockets and began to go over the last few minutes in her mind. Mary and John, huh? They seem like they would be a lovely couple, as the last time she and Mary got together the two had just met and showed her a picture. He seems like a good guy. The female doctor entered a local hospital, shuffling through the building until she reached an office towards the end of the hall with a label over the door that read: Dr. Jessamine Baines.

Later that night, up in a flat in Baker Street, Mary sat and watched her soon-to-be husband and his best friend sit in their chairs. John had a cup of tea in his hands as well as the paper from earlier than morning while Sherlock sat curled up around his violin and plucking the strings with his fingers.

"So, I went and saw an old friend today," Mary began and broke the silence, "Jessa and I haven't seen each other in ages, she's a pretty thing. We were talking over a coffee earlier and I was wondering if you two, and yes that means you too Sherlock, would come and have lunch with us tomorrow. We do need another woman's opinion on the wedding design, now don't we?"

John had looked up from his paper by now, as had Sherlock from his violin, and the doctor thought for a minute at his future wife's request. Mary looked at them hopefully as she really wanted the love of her life and the great consulting detective to meet her old friend.

"I don't see why not, I have work off tomorrow and it seems like a lovely idea. What about you Sherlock?" John said and then turned the question on his friend who really didn't seem to be listening.

"Why should I go? This really doesn't involve me. I am going to assume this Jessa person will be at the wedding, and so I will meet her then." The curly haired man said and continued to fiddle with his violin strings. Mary let out a sigh, as she really didn't want to force him but it would be nice for him to make some more friends. It's hard for Jessa not to like someone, as Mary has never seen her actually hate anyone.

"Please, Sherlock. It's just lunch and nothing else." The blonde begged and gave a pleading look to him. Sherlock couldn't say no to the puppy face he was receiving from her, and some may say he's gone soft, and simply gave a nod and that was all the sociopath did concerning the matter.
