"Dr. Baines, your mobile is ringing." One of nurses informed the female doctor, gesturing to her purse.

"Oh, thank you." Jessa said, smiling at them before digging her phone out of her purse and answering the call. "Hello?...Oh, hello Mary!"

"Hello, dear. If you're still free for lunch today I've got John and Sherlock to come with us. How about that café we use to go to a lot? Do you remember where it is?" Mary's voice came to Jess's ears through the phone as the doctor checked in for the day and started heading to her office to begin paperwork and organizing files for today's clients.

"Wonderful! That's a splendid idea, I still remember exactly where it is. I'll see you at lunch then love, see you then!" Jessa said, smiling happily to herself now as she tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear and said goodbye to her friend for the time being and ended the call.

"Dr. Baines, your first patient is here. She says the rash on her inner thigh has gotten worse." Her main assistant, Lynn, said from behind the door. The brunette doctor let out a small sigh, picking up her file for her first patient.

"Alright, bring her in." Jessa called, although mentally regretting ever becoming a doctor. She didn't do this to solve an old lady's rash problems, no offense to the woman though. She makes lovely tapestries.

As soon as 12:15pm came around, Dr. Baines let out a sigh of relief as her last patient left with a satisfying prescription for some kind of new narcotic. Really, Jessa was barely paying attention when she wrote it. It's only lunch time and she's already as tired as working a full day with overtime.

"You're free to leave, Dr. Baines. Have a nice lunch." Lynn came in with a smile, and this lightened the slightly stressed doctor a bit.

"Thank you, Lynn. You do as well, love." Jessa said, taking off her white lab coat and leaving her only in her scrubs. Well, why not? It's not like no one has ever seen a doctor on lunch break before. After checking a mirror to see the slightly devastating appearance of her hair and makeup, and fixing it quickly, before leaving for her lunch break. Finding a cab wasn't that difficult since a lot tend to be around since it's a busy area of London, and once she had one she immediately made her way to the old hangout of the power duo made up of her and Mary. Once the cab had arrived, Jessa paid the cabbie with a thanks before exiting. Almost immediately, the brunette heard her name being called and smiled.

"Jessa! Love, where's your coat? It's chilly out here!" Mary's voice came before the person entered Jessamine's field of view. The two female hugged tightly, almost as if they haven't seen each other in ages, and then once they separated Mary gestured to the two men she had accompanying her.

"John, this is my old friend Dr. Jessamine Baines. Jess, dear, this is my fiancé Dr. John Watson. With you two being doctors and all you probably have a lot of things in common." Mary said, John smiling and holding out a hand. Jessa gladly took it and the two shook hands as well as exchanged greetings.

"Mary, it's a bit rude not to introduce me." A deep voice came from behind the two and it made the female doctor tilt her head. A tall male with curly black hair stepped out from behind John and held out a hand.

"Sherlock Holmes, it's a pleasure to meet you Dr. Baines." He said, and ever so cautiously Jessa took his hand. The consulting detective rose it to his lips and gently kissed her knuckles, and this didn't fail to prevent the small blush rising on Jessa's cheeks.

"Nice to meet you as well, and just Jessa or Jess is fine." The now slightly flustered doctor said, a small smirk on the detective's face as he let go of her and and spun around before walking right into the café.

"So that's the famous Sherlock Holmes...I like him." Jess said with a small smile, which she shared with Mary while John simply sighed.

"You wouldn't say that if you had lived with him. Let's go inside, ladies. I assume you don't have a very long lunch break, Dr. Baines." John said, opening the door for the ladies like a gentleman and following them inside.

"So John, you are an army doctor right? That's really interesting, I wish I went into that kind of work. Seems more exciting." Jessa said, seated beside Mary and Sherlock with John across from her. The other doctor gave a shrug, and now he began to pick at his food a bit.

"Well, it definitely wasn't dull. I'm just a regular doctor now and it really is a lot less action. Although, this one here gives me enough to do that I'm just as stressed." John said and gestured to Sherlock who gave him a questioning look before rolling his eyes with an 'Oh please' look.

"So Jessa, how long have you known Mary?" Sherlock's voice caused the small female to look up at him, and he had his head turned and was staring right at her. How long had he been looking at her without her knowing?

"For a good 6 or 7 years now, we've been friends for ages now. Mary is such a good person, how can someone not like her?" Jessa said and turned her head to her best friend and smiled at her. Although, the smile left as soon as she heard Sherlock speak again.

"Lies"

"I'm sorry?" The brunette asked, confusion clear across her face as the detective looked at her.

"You are lying about how long you've known her, I can tell. In fact, you've known her for most of your life haven't you? Is there something else you're lying about, Dr. Baines?"
