Chara's POV
_______I walk along a grey corridor that follows from a lift door. I turn the corner and in the distance there are grey buildings and next to that there was another lift door. The walk lasts for 5 minutes and then another corner is revealed with the same buildings, just more spaced out. This yet again lasts for another five minutes. Then, the path slowly becomes a lighter grey and I can see something ahead. That's when I realise that, it's a rose bush. A grey rose bush. It all becomes too familiar. It's a grey brick house with two windows on the left and right walls that poke out more and there are large rose bushes under the Windows. Frisk's house.
I walk in and everything is grey. The stairs that made their way to the basement had been chained off and there were two golden flowers in a vase next to the banister. I walk along to Frisk's bedroom to reveal two boxes. Both white with red ribbon and tied perfectly into a bow. I rip one open to reveal a heart shaped locket. I felt the red heart in my hand. It was almost like, I could feel it beating. Then I move onto the other and find a knife inside. A sharp steel knife. I pick out my blunt rainbow one and compare the two. Eventually I throw the old one away and replace it with the new sharp and shiny. It's like it was meant to be.
I close the door behind me as I go along the hall. There were three bases which all had golden flowers resting in there, bound to die someday. The next room still had the sign on it "Room under renovations" on a single piece of paper. And on the table next to the final door was a golden key. I headed towards it when the flower popped up from the wooden floor with a small smile on its face.
"Howdy, Chara! You finally made it home! Remember when we used to play here? He hee hee... Today's going to be just as fun!" Then he disappeared.
I continue on and pick up the key and decide to place it on the keychain so it hangs on my phone and walk into the 'living room'. After walking to Toriel's chair the flower rises from the ground again.
"I remember when I first woke up here, in the garden. I couldn't feel my arms or legs. My entire body had turned into a flower! I shouted 'Mom, Dad! Someone help' But n o o n e c a m e. Eventually, the King found me crying in the garden. Then I explained what happened. Then he held me, Chara. He held me in his arms with tears in his eyes saying that 'everything's going to be alright'. He was so emotional that I forgot my emotions. I...I couldn't feel anything at all."
He finished his spiel once again and disappeared into the ground. I walked out the kitchen and there was another key on the counter. I placed it on the keychain and walked out. Then I passed the chained off stairs and I thought. Then I took the keys off the keychain and unlocked the bulky chain.
All the memories came flooding back to me. Walking down here without knowing that I would become the Underground's most feared being. Frisk being the first, then Toriel. It hurts.
I froze. Why did I think that? No. Why did I think that. I'm the strongest human here and now I'm feeling weak. Stop. Go on. Kill them all. Escape.
I travel down the stairs and there is the grey hall with a little yellow. Will this flower ever go away! Godamnit!
"Look kid, I don't want to hear your life story. Leave me alone," I growl at him with a disgusted look on my face. He's shaking with fear by this point and looks to the ground he was close to.
"I'm... Sorry," He mumbled, and disappears like that.
I walk down the grey corridor in peace now. All I could hear was the pattern of my feet as one echo after the other. My steady breathing could also be heard sometimes if my pace had slowed down.
The corridor kept going. It had no door at the end like before but rather grey buildings like an hour ago when I first entered My home. Then there was two ways. Straight on led to a lift and turning the corner, well, that's where I would be walking.
At the end of that hall there was a black arch but as I got closer, I could see an orange light come from the archway. That's when I realise that, it's a whole different room. There were stain glass windows with giant wooden pillars and a brown tiled floor. Near the end of the room there was a black figure standing at the end of the room. It chuckled darkly and entered the light.
Sans.
He stared at me with empty sockets before speaking. "So you finally show up, huh?" He laughed yet again and my instincts kick in and I slide my now more threatening knife and hold it at my side in plain view. He looks down at the knife and then up to meet my eyes.
"I saw what you did," He tells in a dark tone. "I saw what you did to my brother. What...what did he do!? He didn't do nothing wrong and you decide to go and kill him," The loudness became higher and higher until he was shouting his last words. Those words echoed around the hall until they stopped. Then sobbing was heard. Clear droplets fell from his sockets and onto the tiled floor.
"What...what did he ever do to you? What did he do to deserve this!" He shouted yet again before a flicker began to emit from his left socket as well as his left hand.
"YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS FRISK," He shouted as he ran towards me.
Suddenly, something started to flicker inside me. It felt like I was loosing control. Before I knew it the knife had slipped from my hand and onto the floor making a clanging noise. I raised my hands in front of his as to stop Sans from hurting me.
"Sans! Sans! Stop! I'm didn't mean it!"
Frisk is taking over.
Frisk's POV
________"It wasn't me it was Chara!" I yell to Sans as I attempt to dodge one of his attacks from the floating skulls. I begin to cry as my soul was struck by a beam.
"HOW COULD IT NOT BE YOU? I SAW YOU KILL HIM!"
"But..but," I shook my head and told him the truth. "Something possesed me," My voice getting quieter with every word.
My soul was being crushed more and more every moment. He wasn't listening to me. He lifted me off the ground with a move of his hand and started to crush me. My ribs cracked under the force and blood spewed from my mouth. I was loosing my determination. My eyes, half shut, looked on as Sans motioned his floating skulls to aim at me with blue beams forming in their mouths. Then they shoot at me with groundbreaking force. This is what left me hurt the most.
I may have been free from Chara but she had done enough damage for me, for my determination, to all go down the drain.
My eyes are closed. Soul destroyed. Mangled. With a final breath, I wheeze out.
"Sans...I'm..sorry,"
