I started the day by waking up early in the morning. I did my daily routine of washing my face and brushing my teeth. Trying not to wake up Kenji up, I crept downstairs, trying not to make the slightest sound and found Makoto sleeping peacefully on the coach. In repayment to Makoto's kindness, I decided to cook breakfast for Makato and Kenji. I walked into the kitchen and opened as many cupboard doors to see what ingredients were available. I didn't really know how to cook and all the ingredients were vegetables and some meat. Ramen was the only thing I knew how to cook was ramen because all you did is that you can just place the noodles in boiling water and there you have your ramen.
After a few minutes of searching, Makoto still didn't seem to have any so I decided to quickly pop into the convenience store. It was only a five minute walk to the shop so it didn't take long to get there. I searched for the ramen until I found it at the very corner of the shop. There was a boy, roughly about the same height as Kenji and presumably the same age, who was struggling to reach for the cup soup next to the ramen as it was on the highest shelf. I took the cup and gave it to the boy. The boy had an innocent look to his face. He had teal coloured eyes with brown hair.
"Thank you so much, I really appreciate your kindness." gushed the boy in a high pitched voice.
"It's okay" I responded with a smile. He seemed like a nice boy and a perfect candidate to occupy Kenji.
"What is your name?" I asked.
"Oh um... Zac" he replied.
"Well, would you like to come over to my house and play with my younger brother. He is about the same age as you so I am sure you two would get along" I said, overlooking his uncertainty.
"Sure I don't have any friends so I would definitely like to come along" said Zac.
"Your parents wouldn't mind, do they?" I questioned.
"Not at all."
I smiled and gestured him to follow me to the cashier and then out of the shop. We entered the house and went into the kitchen to start cooking. Makoto then came into the kitchen and his hair was all scruffy after waking up. He was surprised to see a boy sitting at the table.i introduced the boy to Makoto and told him that Zac can play with Kenji. Makoto agreed with me and thought that it was a great idea. He thanked me for cooking noodles for him and not very long after that Kenji came downstairs and he said Morning. When Kenji first saw Zac, he immediately frowned and his happy expression suddenly changed. I told Kenji to sit down by the table and to introduce himself to Zac. He did reluctantly and I gave him his bowl of noodles.
"Wow Akuma!" said Makoto with his mouth stuffed with noodles, "this is really good, how did you learn to cook like this?" he asked with disbelief.
I pointed sheepishly to the empty packet and said, "with the help of this."
"Whatever you did, I don't care but I like it!"
"Really, you have never had ramen noodles!" it was my turn to be surprised.
"Makoto is right, the noodles taste better than what you normally make," Kenji complimented.
"Oh, that?" I responded bashfully, "I found out what the little sachet was for just now, it's the flavouring." laughing a little at myself. I could see that there was something wrong with Kenji. He doesn't seem to like Zac at all. To be honest I didn't know why Kenji disliked Zac. Zac seemed like nice boy so I didn't see anything wrong. When Makoto finished his bowl of noodles he dropped his bowl in the sink with a final thanks. Makoto winked at me and I instantly knew that he was signalling about the training session. I made up some excuse about going to the mall and followed Makoto out of the doorway.
