"Mom !!" I shouted loudly putting on my shoes.
Hannah and Nick were getting their jackets on while I reached for my backpack and my puppy sprinkles jumped in. I zipped the backpack up and got my jacket on.
" Joanna why are you wearing a back pack?" My mom asked while coming a little closer. "Especially with nothing in it?" My mom asked curious. I didn't answer, I hadn't come up with an excuse so I stood quiet and went inside the car.
" Can you put the kids in the car , Joanna ?" My mom asked while walking back in the house.
" OK."
I got them in and put their seat belts on . I remembered I forget the waters for the long trip. I looked back at the kids and told them to stay in the car while I go and get something. I got out and walked up the steps leading to the front door. I opened the door and my mom was taking pills and drinking wine on a stool next to the counter.
"Mom?" I said . She put the top on the pills bottle as soon as she heard me and carefully placed the glass cup in the sink. She got her purse from the kitchen counter and jacket from the coat hook then ran out the door. I looked at the piece of wrapping from the pills that had happened to fall off after she ran out. It read, Medical use only from pain, emotionally, and physical and depression. The bad part was that I've heard that you can overdose on those and seriously get injured. Inside and on the outside of your body. I let out a huff and I ran to the car and forgot everything. What's the point? We will be back here later anyways. I thought to myself.
" Okay let's go!" My mom said.
I hope we make it there and back all in one piece. She seemed too happy at this moment.
