It's still 9 A.M and I'm already exhausted, good thing it's almost time for my favorite subject, recess. I'm starving.
"Dude I'm starving. I'll eat a horse!" said Dan from behind me.
"Me too, I didn't eat much coz' my mom tried to feed me.", insert AGAIN. Yes, that wasn't the first time.
Everyone laughed, "Anyways, let's just go and buy snacks, my stomach is killing me." said Dan.
We walked towards the cafeteria. In a distance, I saw a familiar sight, like something, or someone,(to be exact) I saw 5 years ago, I had no doubt, it was her.
Indeed 'twas her! I would recognize that face anywhere. My jaw dropped, she grew to be even more beautiful than she was 5 years ago. It's my chance, this time I'll do it for sure.
I slowly approached her, she was alone there standing, she didn't seem to notice me so I just kept on going. What should I say? How should I say it? Damn I'm stuttering. Should I go simple? Or with a bang? Maybe I should play it cool, ugh. I'll just go with the flow, and hope I don't stutter in front of her.
There she is, standing in front of me, what a beautiful sight indeed.
"Uhm hey there, are you okay? You seem to be spacing out.",
Damn she noticed me! I was too busy thinking of a way to start a conversation that I forgot she was already in front of me
"Yeah, I'm f-f-fine.", I'm stuttering, I'm a pro at talking to girls and I'm usually not the shy type but the effect she has on me is just wow.
"Stacey, Stacey Vega." She reached her hand out to me for a handshake. Stacey huh? The name suits her. Kinda nerdy, but also cool.
"Chazz, Chazz Princeton." I accepted her handshake. Is this really her? She's not the shy girl I met 5 years ago, she's more outgoing, confident, and prettier than before.
"Have we met before?", she asked.
"Actually, yes, but you wouldn't remember, that was way back during middle school graduation." I answered.
"Yeah, I probably won't remember, my memory sucks, *chuckles* anyways, wanna grab a snack with me?" for a girl she's a pro in making first moves, which makes her more awesome.
She kept on talking while we we're eating but I couldn't make out the words coz' I was too busy enjoying the view (of her face), she's so different now, in a great way. Somehow I forget I'm tired when I'm with her, all I can think about is --
"Chazz? Hello? Earth to Chazz Princeton, *chuckle* hellooo.",
Dang, I spaced out again.
*ring ring ring*
Ugh, recess is done, and I was already having a good time.
"Oh, that's the bell, time to go back to class, thank for the time Chazz, 'twas time well spent." she said with a smile. I can't help but feel a dash of happiness inside me
"Til' next time Stacy."
"Stace, you can call me Stace.", she said with a cute little pout.
"Okay then, see you next time Stace."
"Bye Chazz, I'll be looking forward to it"
I went back to class with a smile on my face, that was the best 30 minutes of my life.
"Hey bro. You seem different." said Steve who crept up from behind me
"You see... There's this girl--" I didn't even get to finish my sentence.
"YOU'VE GOT A GIRL!?"
"IMPOSSIBLE!"
"WHAT'S HAPPENING TO THE WORLD!?"
"WHAT'S SHE LIKE?"
"IS SHE HOT?"
These freaks are exaggerating not a bit but A LOT, I mean is it really that big of a deal if have a girl friend? (See that space between "girl" and "friend"? That's called the "friend zone") It's not like I've never had a girlfriend. I used to have one, but lets just say it didn't work out.
"Guys you got it all wrong, it's not what you think it is, we're just friends, we just hung out together during break." I said to shut them up
"What i she like?". Asked Eren
"She's everything a guy like me would dream of." I answered
"So, d'you like her?" Dan asked
"Yes, you could say that." I answered with a little smile.
"Okay, class is about to start." said our professor.
"It's the professor, we better go back to our seats."
Everything feels lighter when I'm with her, like I'm about to float. There's this happy aura whenever she's around, I involuntarily smile whenever she speaks. She's a ray of sunshine that always lightens up my mood during dark days. Better yet, someday if it's fates plan, she'll be my ray of sunshine.
