Connor's POV

It's definitely different around the house. Both of my brothers are quiet. I'm guessing Toby's upset because she left with their friendship on a bad note, and we all know why Riley's upset. He keeps listening to Pierce The Veil, Black Veil Brides, and Sleeping With Sirens, which are bands that Izzy listens to. Every once in a while, I'll catch Emily singing along.

"Hey Emily," I whisper in her ear, wrapping my arms around her waist and resting my chin on her shoulder as she cuts some carrots with my mother. She jumps a little before laughing.

"Connor, be careful. I could've cut myself," she says, showing me how close she was. She's right.

"But you didn't," I say. I see her roll her eyes before continuing with dinner.

"So," I start. "I was thinking. You and I should go stargazing tonight."

"Why stargazing?" she asks, moving onto the celery.

"Well, they said that it's going to be a clear night, and stargazing can be romantic with the right person," I say, rubbing my nose gently into the side of her neck, making her giggle.

"Alright you two, you can plan this later. Emily, can you please get the onions from the basement fridge?" Mom asks. Emily nods, and she disappears.

"You know, your father asked me to be his girlfriend when we went stargazing," my mother tells me.

"Like father, like son," I whisper. She smiles and hugs me.

"Don't lose her. She's a sweet girl, and she gets along well with the whole family," she says.

"Megan did, too," I mumble.

"Yes, but she also caused some trouble. Emily solves the trouble," she says. Before I can say anything else, Emily walks back in.

"Shoo! We have to make dinner!" she says, waving me away. I steal a piece of carrot and run away, getting smacked in the butt by the dish towel.

Izzys pov

Nathena grabbed my bags, and I ran to my room. I had no idea what time it was, and I couldn't find my phone, I would just look later. It was light out, I had slept through the.whole car ride.

"Izzy!" My mom ran into my room attacking me with a hug. I didn't say anything, I didn't hug back. I couldn't, I was emotionally drained. And my heart was aching.  "How are you? Did you have fun? Where's your tiara? Why are you home so early? We missed you!" My mom sat at the edge of the bed, harassing me with questions. "Izzy are you okay?" She asked when I didn't answer.

"Mom, leave her alone." Nathena came into the room, I didn't look at her, I stayed looking at the celing.

"What's wrong with her? I've never seen her so quiet." My mom rubbed my leg, but it didn't comfort me one but..

"She won't talk about it, all I know is that it involves Riley." The sound of his name snaps me out of my staring trance. I roll over to my pillow, and bury my face in it. One by one tears flowed out soaking my pillow. My breathing became heavy, my chest felt tight, and all I wanted was to be back in Rileys arms, but that wasn't going to happen. He didn't want me back. I would just have to learn to except that even though it may take some time. I just didn't think it would happen like this, I knew we wouldn't last forever. I thought we had a damn good thing, I thought we could last longer. I really believed the drama wouldn't win.

"Izzy, whatever happened between you and Riley doesn't matter. There's plenty of princes in the kingdom." My mom began rubbing my back, as if that would help.
