Frozen Wings (Toshiro Hitsugaya Fanfiction) English Translation

Chapter 14

I woke up on the bright sunshine shining into my eyes. I had a day off so I played the piano, after lunch I went on a short walk to a lake where children were skating. My present for Toshiro was that we'll go skating here in the night. The ice was thick enough so it was perfect time to go skating here. But... Rangiku was doing a "little" party for her Captain and she phoned me yesterday if I could come to help her and others to do some decoration. I walked past the lake and headed on the street where Orihime lives, because Rangiku was staying at her place. I haden't even knocked and she already opened the front door and greeted me with a big smile and some decorations in her hands.

"Helloo, Yuki..." she gave me a big hug.

"Rangiku... can't... breathe..." I was trying to speak. She finally loosen her grip and I could breathe again.

"So let's do this..." she said and gave me those decorations. I took off my coat and started decorating the rooms. After an hour we were finished. It was about five o'clock. We invited everyone on half past five so we had a little free time for some rest.

The doorbell rang. Rangiku bolted to open the front door. It was Ichigo, Rukia, Renji and after few minutes Toshiro came as well. Rangiku said that we should hide in the living room as she went to open him. I saw her dragging him there and we jumped out of our hiding places and shouted: "HAPPY BITRTHDAY!!!" I saw in Toshiro's eyes surprise and joy. He smiled a little and looked at all of us.

"Thank you... but... you didn't have to do this..." he said.

"Oh... we had to... I had a party like this so all of you should have one!" I smiled. After that everyone gave him a present and I just whispered to him.

"I'll give you my present later..." I smiled and ran to the kitchen to help girls with a cake.

It was about 11 p.m. when we went back home. Outside, I took Toshiro's hand and I ran to my house. 

I walked in, ran upstairs to got the present. I went downstairs and gave it to him.

"So once more... Happy birthday, Toshiro..."

He started to slowly unpack it. He took out the turquoise scarf.

"I know that it isn't like the present you gave m-..."

He cut me as he pressed his lips against mine.

"It's perfect..." he said. I wrapped it around his neck.

"Good... because you'll need it."

In living room I had prepared a bag with skates for both of us. (yes, because I know what size he has :D) I took it and we headed to the lake. The night was bright and the beautiful moon was shining on entire country. We put on the skates and entered the frozen lake. We made few steps to get use to the icy surface and after that we bounced together and were running in the circles, holding our hands. After some time Toshiro stopped and I did the same.

"Yuki..."

"Yes?" I smiled.

"Thank you, for everything... For this day... For that you're here with me... I'll never forget this day, I promise..." he pulled me closer to him and our lips touched. The kiss was so passionate that I didn't want to stop.

"I thank you too, Toshiro, that you're here with me..."

On the other day we had a rehearsal, because we are suppose to be playing at the ball. We met up at the Karasu river again and wrote down all the songs we wanted to play. Every one of us had chose two songs and eventually we chose one that all of us would sing. When I got the paper with the songs I've read all of them.

I've written my two most favorite songs – Radioactive and Light 'em up. From that night we were meeting every day to practice on the ball.
