"Ughnn!" I whimper, throwing myself on the couch beside Damien "The mailman is taking years to deliver my letter!!" I complain as he laughs.
"Calm down Ana" he throws his arms around me and squeezes me tightly in a hug. "Don't worry! You're gonna get accepted. No need to fret, my little dragonfly!" He jokes, knowing I hate his various nicknames.
I sigh, curling up in his arms "I hope -" I get up, hearing an engine and rushing to the window. "Its here!!" I yell excitedly, basically running out of my house to get my mail. Once I return inside, I throw all my mail aside except for a package.
"Duke University!! Big packages are good, right?" I ask, not giving him time to answer before tearing open the packaging.
"Woah Ana! Calm d-"
"Congratulations!! Damien! I made it! Im going to Duke!" I squeal, throwing my arms around him and kissing him as he chuckles.
"What else does it say?" He asks, leaning back so I can reach the packaging without getting off him.
I start reading again "Not only do I get to go to collage, I get to go for free! I have a full scholarship!" I smile, unable to contain my happiness.
Everything is looking up for me. Free scholarship, my boyfriend by my side, and no one knows my secret.
