"Beep beep beep beep be-" I slapped my hand against my alarm clock. It was Monday And I had to go to school. Sadly.
I struggled to get out of bed and when I pressed my feet against the floor I instantly jumped back in bed and got under the covers. The house was freezing. Legit freezing. I grabbed my house coat off my door and went to the kitchen. The door was wide open. Wide fucking open. I quickly shut it and made some coffee. I sat at the kitchen table and went on instagram when my mom and dad came to the kitchen.
"Why the hell is it so freezing in here?!" My mom yelled.
"Yeah what's going on?" My dad added in.
"I have no idea. I woke up freezing so I went to the kitchen and the door was wide open." I explained.
"We'll talk about it at dinner tonight."

The bell rang and since it was getting colder me and Ella stayed in my locker area for recess.
"So how was the date?!" Ella squealed.
"Well Tyler's ex was our waiter and let's just say things didn't go to well."
"Ouch." Ella said.
"Yeah... So winter semi is this Friday, you wanna get ready with me?" I asked.
"You know it."
The bell rang and me and Ella went to class. We were doing a project in social studies and my group was me, Ella and Tyler. I asked to work in the hall. everyone likes to work in the hall so you can fool around. Admit it.
We were working in silence when Tyler blurted out.
"Kate will you go to semi with me?"
My heart melted.
"Of course."

School was over and I went to Ella's after school for a change. We watched greys anatomy and ate popcorn.
"NO MERIDETH NOOOO!!!" me and Ella cried.
The show was so tragic and we couldn't help but cry.
"Stay with us merideth!!" We yelled.
After watching 12 episodes I realised it was 4:54 and I had to be home for 5. Shit.
"Ella I completely forgot about Time! I have to go!" I exlaimed while grabbing my stuff and I was out the door.
I stomped on the gas and arrived to my house at 5:06. When I ran in the door my mom, dad and Alex were at the table waiting for me.
"What took you so long?" Alex asked
"Sorry I was at Ella's and I lost track of ti-."
"Anyways." My mom interrupted.
"Why was the door open all night?"
"I swear it wasn't me." I defended myself.
"Well it wasn't me or your father." My mom said.
"Alexxxx...." We all stared at my brother.
"Okay fine I'll spill. I was out late with kayla and I didn't want to wake you guys when I got home so I shut the door softly. It must not of shut all the way so the wind blew it open. I'm really sorry guys."
"Alex your grounded for a week because I told you kids that you need to be home by 10 if you leave after supper."
"I guess that's fair. Alex muttered.
