Lost To The World

chapter 3-part one

As in...

I looked at him and I could not believe my eyes.
Wait ,was I dreaming or something,its impossible that he is here. It can't be I buried him myself perhaps it was his ghost.
I told Audrey to get inside.

"But mom the gentleman was looking for me." She wined.
"I thought I told you to get inside" I shot her a warning glare,reluctantly she went back inside the house as soon as she was out of hearing distance,I locked the door behind me and looked at the man before me trying to conceal the fear and panic I felt deep inside the pit of my stomach.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him.
"Nice to see you too Nora." He replied instead and continued

"Am pretty sure the last time we parted ways was when you tried to kill me and burry me 30 feet under the ground,am I right. So we have lot to catching up to do,how have you been these last couple of years dealing with the mystery kid who am about to prove to you that she is something more than anything you and I have come up against."
He stared at me waiting for my reaction. I looked at him with this face of As in ...

"As in Nora,something big is coming and you are going to be caught up in the middle of it.
I know you can feel it."
I still looked at him dumbstruck.
What the hell is he talking about. As if reading my thoughts he gazed right into my eyes and said.

"Don't play dumb I know you know what am talking about,you have seen the signs everywhere."
Then he said something that made my blood turn into red ice.
"They are coming for her too."

After what seemed like forever my mom came back inside with a Brown envelop in her hands.
"Did the gentleman leave,I thought he wanted to talk to me?"I asked immediately she was in front of me.

"He is no gentleman."she hissed under her breath and murmured some thing under her breath that I didn't quit catch.

"All you have to know is stay away from everyone you don't know even those you know if possible."

"What?,what's going on ,what did that man tell you?"
I asked seriously confused.

"No more going out,do you understand ?"

"No,I don't. You can't ground me am not 6 besides I didn't do anything wrong."
I replied really annoyed at this point. How could she?, am the best daughter life can ever offer.
I mean come on ,I don't go to parties, I don't hangout with 'cool kids',I don't take alcohol or drugs,I don't do boys or girls for that matter, I may not be on top of the class but I try being a B+,B-ain't that bad . right?

"You just can't alright." She said rubbing her forehead and running fingers through her her,a gesture I have seen at least a thousand times,and it can only mean one thing:
She was stressed and she was thinking hard really really hard.
What could possibly get my mom worked out this morning.
I just had to find out.
