Ella's Point of View

I awoke with a surprise of extreme pain in my belly. It was unbearable. I rolled out of my warm comforter, landing on my knees upon the ground. I tried to stand up, but my stomach was hurting so horribly. I crawled pitifully to the bathroom, lifting myself to my feet with the help of the sink. Tears pricking in my eyes, I open the medicine cabinet in hopes of finding Ibuprofen. Nothing. I feel a wave of despair wash over me as I fall to the ground, clutching my stomach. Could I be on my cycle? No, I just finished last week...What could it be? I questioned myself as I whimpered.

"Nick." I weakly called. I heard no voices nor any footsteps. A tear falls down my cheek as I barely drag myself along the floor. After what felt like eternity, I finally reached my doorway. Our house is rather large, so I'm praying my voice will echo along the white, plastered walls.

"This has to work..." I whisper to myself.

"Nick, please come quickly! Oh, and bring some Ibuprofen and water." I croak rather loudly out towards the hall. I hear a sigh from somewhere in this house, and I feel my spirits lift as footsteps head towards me. I close my eyes, waiting for my Superman to come.

I crack one eye open as Nick walks up to the doorway. Thanfully, he has the glass of water and Ibuprofen jar. I try to sit up, but instead of being successful, I get another shock of pain, causing me to crumple back onto the floor. Nick sighs.

"Ella, do you have to be so dramatic? Seriously, what is so wrong with you, that you can't even get up yourself?" I feel a wave of anger wash over me as I clench my jaw. Suddenly, a burst of laughter fills the house. Male laughter. I put two and two together. I squeeze my eyes shut as my abdominal brings tears to my eyes. I open one eyelid slightly, barely peeking out.

"Look, I know you want to hang out with your fr-friends," I manage to choke out. "But, I really need to go to the doctor. I-I think something may be wrong with my stomach." I finish with an exhausted sigh. As I look up at a frustrated Nick, my vision begins to get fuzzy.

"Are you serious? Stop being so dramatic and put on a tampon or something!" He yells at me. I can barely hear him though. It sounds muffled, as if I'm wearing earmuffs. My abs hurt so terribly.

"Please." I choke out softly. My vision gets more blurry until... everything was black, and my eyes rolled back in my head.

Nick's Point of View

"Please." I hear her gasp out. I rolled my eyes and scoffed. El can be so dramatic sometimes. She knows how I feel about this. I looked down to her huddled figure to tell her so. Only, she wasn't blinking anymore or talking. You could visibly see her eyes rolled back into her head. She was taking shallow breaths, and I began to panic, only faintly hearing the tinkle of breaking glass. I look to my feet, not exactly registering the fact I had dropped the glass of water I had been holding.

"Ella...? Ella! Ella, please! Please wake up! Oh God, oh God..." I frenzy. I pick her up bridal style, her body limp in my arms. I carefully move as quickly as possible down the steps. I jog to the living room, where Gabe was playing Halo 4. He motioned with his head for me to come back over there.

"Come on man. I'm about to die and could really use some assistance." He casually said to me. I felt my blood start to boil as he ignored my un-moving figure. Gabe finally turned to look towards the doorway, where I was standing solitary. He was instantly by my side.

"Dude, what's wrong with Ella?" He asked worriedly. I exploded.

"DO YOU THINK I KNOW? WHY WOULD I BE STANDING HERE WITH HER IN MY ARMS, READY TO GO, IF I KNEW WHAT'S WRONG?! NOW, PLEASE GO START THE CAR SO MY BABY SISTER DOESN'T DIE!" His face paled at my exclamation. He ran to the key-rack and grabbed the car keys. Gabe jogged outside, unlocking the car with a subtle -beep-. I followed suit, in a hurry to get my hurt sister to the hospital.
