Jake's POV

Amanda is so beautiful. I can't help but stare at her..but she caught me staring at her..oops.

She scooted closer to me, and my stomach felt as if I had hundreds of butterflies flying everywhere. What's wrong with me. She's just my friend. My best friend.

"Well look at you too all cuddled up with eachother." My mom said with a wink. "Do you two need anything? Drinks? More popcorn?"

Amanda just giggled.

"No mom, I think we are good."

"Alright well let me know if you need anything." She replied as she walked out of the TV room.

"I love your mom. She's great, you're really lucky." Amanda sort of got a sad look on her face as she said that.

"Hey, hey, it's okay. Don't be sad, cheer up buttercup." I poked her nose and we just laughed. Oh gosh, her laugh, it's so cute.

"And at last I see the light
And it's like the fog has lifted
And at last I see the light
And it's like the sky is new
And it's warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted
All at once everything looks different
Now that I see you"

Amanda sang along with the movie during this part in Tangled. It made me laugh but she has a beautiful voice. Again, I realized I was just staring at her. Do I have feelings for her? Even if I did she probably doesn't feel the same towards me. Sadly. There's only one way to find out though. But if she doesn't feel the same then I'll end up really sad.. So maybe it's better to just let this be and not mess with it.

At the end of the movie I look over at Amanda, and she's asleep! I laughed a little. She looks so sweet and innocent. I don't want to wake her since she probably doesn't get too much sleep at night due to her parents. Taking the remote, I turned off the tv and left the room, letting her sleep.

I walked into the kitchen to see my mom cooking dinner. "Amanda feel asleep mom." I chuckled a bit.

"That's funny. Well there's still some time before dinner will be ready so you don't have to wake her yet."

"Okay. So what are we having?"

"Lasagna!"

"Oh yum! About how much longer will it be?"

"I would say about 15 minutes."

"Cool." I said while walking to the freezer, grabbing a few ice cubes, and making my way back to the TV room. Amanda's there still fast asleep. She looks cute and all but I just gotta play a little joke on her. She was laying on her stomach so I decided to put a few ice cubes down the back of her shirt. It took a few seconds, then she jumped up. I couldn't help but burst into laughter. Amanda was jumping around trying to get the ice cubes out of her shirt.

"Why'd you do that!"

"How could I not?" Still laughing.

A small smile spread on her face. "I hate you."

"No you don't." I winked.

"Yes I do."

"Nope."

"Alright fine, I don't." She said while walking past me and playfully punching my arm. I turned around and grabbed her hand before she could leave the room and pulled her into a hug.

"What's this for?" Amanda questioned.

"I don't really know. Guess I just wanted to hug you."

"Alright.. Well is dinner ready? I'm starving!"

"Yeah it should be about done. We are having lasagna."

"Sounds good."

-----
After dinner it was about 6:30. We took Max on a walk around the neighborhood. "So there's no school tomorrow because of a staff development day. Do you want to hang out?"

"Of course I do Jake!"

"Cool."

*beep beep*

Amanda's dad:
Where are you?
