The dawn had risen on an unscathed day in the land of Fiore. Citizens everywhere were rising from their slumbers with varieties of emotion. The day of the Parthenon has come. Who knows what compromises or ideas will be weaved together at this meeting? The Maiden of the Sky, Queen Wendy, awakens and begins her preparations as her servants come to her side. She was the only youthful member of the Parthenon and was a little childish. She was barely five foot tall and had cerulean hair that cascaded to her ankles. All of the lords will never decay, so the age they were birthed out of is the age they will remain forever. However, this does not mean that they are not immortal.
"These meetings grow rather boring. My beautiful kingdom flourishes without the help of any of those boys. It's so peaceful here." Queen Wendy said while her servants clothes her and dressed her in an alluring perfume. Her favorite servant, Doran, was gazing out the window and admiring the sight of the sun within arms reach. Doran was a cautious man; he always puts Queen Wendy and Aviona before himself. This had earned him the second highest honor to the Queen herself. He was a fairly average heighted man with blue eyes and a battle scar across his eye.
"My queen, do be careful at this meeting. I sense an ill omen upon us." Doran spoke with a semi-serious tone as he turned to face her. Many times he was often mistaken, but this time, he was absolutely sure something ominous was fast approaching. All he could do was stand there though; only the queen has authority over him.
"You worry too much. Every time you get a bad feeling of any kind, nothing bad happens. Those boys are pretty feisty at these meetings, but I have faith that nothing will be different." She was maintaining eye contact with Doran as her servants work on her appearance. Queen Wendy always spoke with informal language and was rather childish from time to time. Her servants had finished properly dressing their queen. Doran always admired how energetic Queen Wendy was.
"Just be cautious. I'll await your arrival. In case that you would be in peril, I'm providing an escort of our elite with you on your journey." Doran droned in a tone that bored and warned his queen. With a slight nod and a curtsy, Queen Wendy made her way down the palace steps and on to the platform. Several villages were on the surface and some often rose to the surface due to the architecture. All buildings in Aviona were constructed entirely of material lighter than air. The magic of the queen keeps her villages and palace from rising to orbit.
"I demand to be brought to the surface!" Her petite arms were spread out as she beckoned for her other favorite servant in Aviona. A white furred feline with wings of an angel glided from the tower to her. A whiskered smile appeared on the feline's face, for she addressed the queen as "best friend." They have had many experiences with one another.
"As you command my queen. I will always do my best. Be careful child!" She utters enthusiastically as her tiny paws latched onto Wendy with a firm grip. After grasping Wendy delicately but firmly, the feline flies down to the surface at an angle at an incomprehensible speed. The force of the descent did not seem to affect either of them in a negative way. Clouds parted like gates of the heavens as they descended to the surface. Carla, the feline that had been transporting Queen Wendy, released her close to the surface and began her ascent back to the towers of the palace. All Queen Wendy could do was wave as her beloved servant flew back up into the heavens. With a smile, she turned and began walking down the designated path to Dalaron. Two men in adamantine armor descended slowly from the heavens by using their angelic wings.
"We are ready to escort you to Dalaron your ladyship. We will ensure nothing happens to you. Your safety is our guarantee!" Both guards recited as if it were a sacred oath and began to escort her to Dalaron. The wilderness seemed infinite beyond the designated path. The guards were vigilant on the journey; Queen Wendy seemed rather astonished by the beauty of the forest. Occasionally, they would stop, on orders of the queen, to admire the beauty of the wilderness. After a few hours of what seemed to feel like a nature retreat, the trio reached the Parthenon building. A glittery glass was being emitted from the canopy of the building - The Breath of Creation. It was kept the barrier of violet toxic gas stable around Dalaron. The people of Dalaron were a reptilian kind of people who were nonaggressive. The other lords made their way of the building steps.
"Another year, another boring meeting. To me my lovelies." She ordered the guards softly. The guards seemed charmed by her voice and followed her inside. The meeting was about to commence. The royals gracefully followed in behind her as they were about to take their seats as well. All the queen could think about was what Doran said; she always wondered why he was such a serious man.
