Astronomy was amazing. The stars dance right in front of your eyes! You could see the origins of worlds. The magic telescopes that they had to offer were so precise you could see every little detail of the sky.

But the time they finished it was past midnight and they had homework for next week to make a star chart and label everything they saw that day in class.

Walking back every one was talking about what they had saw and how pretty the night sky was. Ron joked that if he only saw one star would he still get full credit on the assignment.

Then Harry and Ron stopped, causing Neville to crash into Ron and Rose to cease into Harry leaving only Hermione standing.

"You lions need to find your way back to the circus. Pathetic." Rose heard an all to familiar voice. Draco stood above them with Crabb and Goyle at his sides and Pansy sneering behind him.

Ron started to lunge at Draco while Harry and Neville held him back. Rose walked in front of them. Holding out her journal with a new note in it.

I need to talk to you. Right now. Leave the baboons behind.

Draco out of habit read it. "Well why should I listen to you, you traitor?" He spat at her. Rose wrote another note for him.

Because I don't think you want everyone here knowing that you will fall into a heap on the floor if I tickle you. You have been warned.

Draco paled as he read her new note. "Your serious?" He whispered. Rose nodded again. "Fine. You lot, go back to the common room, we need to talk," he looked at my friends "alone."

Neville tried to say something but she waved them along. Rose pulled him into a side corridor.

"So what's wrong?" Draco said, letting so of the old Draco slip out. She started writing and he looked over her shoulder as she did so.

Okay, so even thought you are an arrogant prat who only cares about himself, well I don't want to lose you as a friend. We've been through so much together separation of houses shouldn't tear us apart. We don't have to be best friends but we can still be allies. Are you cool with that? Can you do that much for me?

He finished reading it and sighed. "Alright. I guess. It would be nice to have an allie. But don't expect much else okay? Just because we're allies doesn't mean I'll start hanging out with Potted and those Griffindors." He said. Rose nodded. It was the best she could hope for out of him.

He turn to walk away but she pulled him into a hug first. Then blushing Rose let go. Draco smirked back at her.

"I'll see you around." Was all he said then he dashed out into the corridor. Rose smiled, happy that she Haden lost her friend. She slowly made her way back up to the Griffindor tower, and she knew she would have a lot of explaining to do.
