Duncan-"Geoff, for the last time, you need to attack the zombies with both arms attached to them first so they aren't as strong once you get tired!" I yelled into my headphones, upset with the fact that Geoff had just made our zombie fighting crew loose on our online video game.
"ugh...fine... I have to go man, my mom said it's time for dinner." He spoke sadly through my speakers. He disconnected from the game, so I decided to as well. Silence was spread throughout my house.
Worry grew inside of me once I noticed the sound of someone's crying. It sounded like...Gwen....
I slowly walked over to my curtains and peeked through them slightly, not making it noticeable that I could see her.
Tiny light sniffles were made, then an eruption of tears and wails. Where are her parents? Wouldn't they help her?
Why would she be crying? She's the one who made me upset today! If Courtney hadn't made me feel better, I would probably still be upset about Gwen bumping into Trent on the bus!
My focus landed back onto Gwen once I noticed something that caught me off guard.
She was staring at me with wide eyes. I had opened the curtain most of the way and was staring into space moments before. My window was opened.
"What's wrong Gwen? You've been crying for the longest time!" I asked so sincerely that it was practically dripping from my mouth.
"You of all people wouldn't understand. Life is hard for a girl with nothing to turn to. At least you have Courtney at your beck and call." Gwen rolled her eyes in annoyance.
I was taken back by this, considering she was affected by me hanging out with Courtney today.
"Well, why would you care about what I do with other girls so much, huh? That's what I really don't understand." I said harshly. Pure hurt was shown in her eyes.
Gwen grabbed the sides of her curtains slowly and spoke out one of the most surprising things that I've ever heard from this girl.
"I like you, you idiot."
With these words, she forcefully threw her curtains closed, leaving me paralyzed at my windowsill.
Gwen....likes me?

Gwuncan: Just Starting Out (re-continued)
RomanceGwen meets a boy her age named Duncan, and they become best friends. Maybe later on, they become something more. They meet at 5 years old at the park, and it goes on from there. The first couple sentences may be cheesy, but oh well.
