However the books and film we have seen depict neverland as a whimsical and happy place, but neverland is the shadow of the world, where the lost find refuge and anything is possible, where crazy is normal, and murder is rewarded. The lost boys are wild animals, and the grand games keeper is the shadow itself, Peter Pan.
