Chapter One

"Ahhh!!" screamed an overly enthusiastic Marcus next to me at this stupid ass concert, "Fuck yeah!!!"

So, here's what's up with my best friend, Marcus. There's a few things that I need to, uh, disclose with you.

1. He loves a band I hate: Pierce the Veil. He's obsessed. He loves Jaime, Tony, and Vic. . . Mainly Vic though. He loves Vic because he's one of the guitarists, so it's not that he hates Mike, (I'm the one who hates him!) it's just that he likes the other 3 better because. . .

2. He loves guitars and guys who play them. He's crazy over any band member who A) is a guy B) who is cute to him and C) plays the guitar. He loves it. He goes crazy over any person who meets those 3 standards. Mainly PTV though, more specifically Vic because he meets those standards.

He LOVES Vic.

3. He's a huge, huge fandom person. He fantasizes about. . . Well, you know. He has no problem telling me all about it: all the nitty, gritty details about his. . . demands? Wishes? Fantasies? Dreams? Hopes? I'm really not sure what to call them. . . He loves smut. . . I think you get the gist.

4. If you haven't noticed by now, he's gay. And proud.

So yeah, there is my best friend in a nutshell. We met a year and a half ago and immediately hit it off. And now, a year and half later, he is murdering my brain cells by screaming "THE FUCKING HELL!!!! ARE YOU SEEING THESE GODS IN FRONT OF US???? OH MY GOD I'M GOING TO DIE."

Yeah, and if you don't stop screaming, I am too. But I love him. Not in a weird way. In a best friend way, of course. He was and still is the glue that held me together while I am like his older sibling fighting off any prejudice bastard that would come his way.

And can I just say, even though it is profoundly obnoxious to have him screaming in my ear like a 12 year old fan girl (possibly even worse), I sort of admired how vehement he was towards these guys. I mean, he had nothing but adoration on his face when he saw these guys not just in a concert but something as small as a picture or a video. He loved Vic, Jaime and Tony more than you could ever imagine. He was okay with Mike at first, but defiantely not as passionate as he was with the rest. And 'he was okay with Mike' quickly died down when he saw how much I hated him.

Now me? That, was a different story. I did not care for their music. I refuse to buy into their merch and CDs or concert tickets (except for this one... I bought tickets to PTV for Marcus' 18 birthday. Front row. Now I regret it) and their fuckboy-ishness. Yeah, I said it. I think they're all fuckboys. All of them. Jaime. Vic. Tony. Mike. All. Of. Them. They all have different characteristics about them on camera that make fangirls believe exactly what they want.

They all have different stage characteristics - chill, funny, quiet, soft spoken, loud, silly, outgoing, the list goes on and on. . . but let's all think about this for a second.

Is that not what people wanted?

Jaime, Vic and Tony were defiantely fuckboys. I think they are at least. But then again, they're not as bad as Mike. Mike. . . Don't get me started. Don't even get me fucking started. Mike was the biggest fuckboy that has ever lived. Just. . . Don't get me started.

Now, every time I try to bring this up with Marcus, which was only once, he got upset and told me that my reasonings were just because of their personalities. Whatever.

And the only reason why I didn't bring it up again was because of how offended he got. He's so freaking passionate about them! Sometimes it's scary! I mean imagine this: A 12 year old girl who loves PTV with her entire life and then Marcus, an 18 year boy. Which one was a bigger fan? Which one squeals and screams and cries harder? The 12 year old girl, right? No. Twas Marcus.
