~[{Jellal's P.O.V.}]~

I was walking- well, more like running to the local book store because my favorite book was already shipped and for sale.

I opened the door of the book store and was greeted by the guard. I sprinted to the book shelves and scanned all of the books, since the book is popular in town and I'm afraid it'll run out of stock.

After all of the scanning, I finally found the book I was looking for. It was at the topmost shelf, but it was okay since I'm tall enough to reach it.

I reached the book and gripped it, but then I saw another hand get it too from the other side of the shelf. I can't really see his/her face because of all the books  stacked on the huge book shelf. I tried to pull it out of his/her grip, but then he/she did the same. We were like playing "tug of war", but instead of using a rope, we used a book.

But then, after about less than half a minute, he/she let it go and ended up tripping because of a book on the floor. I approached the person and saw...

An attractive girl with long, scarlet silky hair. She looks like she was my age and has a slender and curvy body.

Woah.... I thought

Without thinking, I just stood there and did nothing. All I did was stare at her... She blushed. I felt my cheeks heat up too.

Then, I just realized what I was doing and tried to help her get off the floor.

~[{Erza's P.O.V.}]~

Ugh, I'm so clumsy! I didn't even see the only book on the floor and tripped on it. Great. Just great. Now my butt hurts.

While I was sitting on the floor and rubbing my butt, I saw the person who played "tug of book" with me earlier. It turned out to be a guy with blue locks and a mysterious red tattoo on his face.
He's s-so... handsome... wait what?

He stared at me for a while. I blushed. I also saw him blushing too. We were just staring at each other, until he decided to make the first move. He approached me and offered me a hand. I accepted it.

"U-umm, s-sorry for earlier. Here, you can have it." He said shyly.

"Thanks, but no. You can have it. I saw how you were so desperate to buy this book." I replied and handed the book back.

"No, no, no. It's okay. I'm sure they'll have another stock next week. I can buy it next time. And it was my fault for letting you fall and trip." He said.

"Well, it was actually mine and the book over there's fault, but okay. I'll take it." I finally said.

He just smiled at me. I smiled back. He then took out his hand and offered a hand shake.
