Chapter 3
Camila’s POV
Anthony, Anthony Guiterrez?!?!?! I thought he moved back to Puerto Rico. I slowly entered, trying to avoid him at all cost. As I was walking, I bumped into a shelf of books, making all the books fall to the ground. I quickly put them back on the shelves, and when I looked up his eyes met mine. A wide smirk started to appear on his face, and he quickly whispered something to his friends making all of them to turn around, and burst into laughter. I rolled my eyes, and realized Lauren wasn’t behind me, I look around trying to find her, and realizing she was talking to two girls. I sighed and sat down on the opposite side of the room from him. Lauren took the seat to the left of me, and started talking, I wasn’t paying much attention due to still being in shock from seeing Anthony again. I was snapped out of thoughts when the teacher walked in, I think his name is Mr. white, he started giving a lecture on how he wants us to use our time wisely and expects us not to be late, you know the whole package. After he was done he went to his desk and started reading the newspaper, everyone got up and sat with their friends to talk about their summer and classes they have this year. Me and Lauren started talking when I noticed the two girls Lauren was talking to earlier sat with us, and started talking to Lauren. I felt a little left out, and awkward just sitting there while they were chatted away. I guess Lauren notice and started introducing me to them,
“Camila, this is Normani,” pointing to girl who had a good taste in fashion, she gave a smile and extended her hand to shake and I did the same.
“And this is Dinah,” pointing to a girl who was being really loud and laughing non stop,
“What up dawg?”
“You know the usual just chillen, killen.”
She bursted in to laughter, “I like you already.”
For the rest of class we started to talk about random stuff and laughing at random stuff.
Lauren’s POV
I’m happy Camila is getting along with Normani and Dinah. When class ended, we headed to our lockers.
“Looks like someone made new best friends,” giving her a wink.
“They’re really funny, and WAY cooler than you,” sticking her tongue at me.
I laughed, “ Should I be jealous,” smirking at her.
“Maybe just a little.”
We both started laughing and started to head to our classes, we started talking about random things when the bell rings, “ SHIT! I’ll meet you at our lockers after class for lunch kay Camz?”
“Camz?”
“Yeah I want a nickname only I can call you,” her face instantly turned red, and she tried hiding it by look at the ground. I quickly ran up to her and gave her a hug, she smelled like vanilla, and her hair was like silk. After I broke the hug, I quickly started running to history, right when I was about to turn the corner I looked back and gave her wink. I found my class room, and when I entered everyone stared at me like I murdered someone
“Why are you late Ms. Jauregui?”
“I got lost, and needed help finding this class,”
“Don’t let it happen again take a seat by Lucy.”
I quickly sat down and started talking to Lucy, she started telling me about her new boyfriend, and how she met him in Puerto Rico, and that he goes to this school now. All I could think about was Camila, and then Lucy interrupted my thoughts,
“Lauren, were you even listening to me?”
“I’m sorry boo, I was thinking about someone,”
“OH MY GOSH, WHO IS THIS LUCKY GUY?”
“Chill Lucy, it’s not a guy, I was just thinking about a friend I made today.”
“Who is it?” she said perking her eyebrow
I started describing Camila as lovable girl who has long silky hair, big chocolate eyes, with the cutest little laugh, and is the funniest person to be with when I was done Lucy noticed me smiling like an idiot
“Do you like her?”
I was shocked by her question, “Why would you ask that?”
“Just seems like you love everything about her, and want to be with her all the time.”
I bit my lip, was I starting to like Camila more than a friend?
