Part 2

Bryce's POV...

The plane was about to land. I pulled on my seatbelt and looked at Thaliya. She seemed worriedless in her sleep. Like she wasn't having any worries.

"Thaly." I whispered lightly shaking her shoulder. 

She stirred but didn't wake up. I smiled but then whispered again in her ear, "Thaly, wake up! The plane's landing!"

She opened her eyes and then looked around. 

"Morning sleepy head!" I smiled.

"Hey." She yawned stretching. 

"Buckle up!" I said.

"Kay." She laughed buckling her seatbelt. 

We landed at the airport and claimed our luggage. We both left to the bathrooms to change since we looked like we'd been looking like two homeless people.

I put on a denim button up shirt with blue jeans. I put on blue Toms and my favorite white snapback. I brushed my teeth and grabbed my suitcase. 

I left the bathroom and waited on Thaliya. While I was waiting, I spotted a snackbar. I walked up to it and bought Thaliya's favorite Hershy Kisses, two bottles of Dr. Pepper, and a big pack of chips.

"Those better be for me." A female voice said from behind me. I smiled as I turned and saw Thaliya staring at the Hershey's in my hand. 

"Yes yes, they sure are." I smiled handing her a bottle of Dr. Pepper and her Hershey's Kisses bag. 

"Thanks." She smiled.

"No problem." I said pulling her in for a hug. 

"Come on let's get out of here." She said.

We walked out of the airport and looked around for a man and a girl holding up a sign that said: Bryce and Thalia Nesbitt. 

Nesbitt's my mom's maiden name. She didn't change it when she got married to Steve so that's a good thing!

"There." Thaliya said surprised like someone had just scared the shit out of her. I followed her gaze to see a man with his daughter, Edward and Gemma, holding up a sign with our names on it. They hadn't seen us yet. 

"Oh the joy!" I said sarcastically.

She laughed lightly as we walked up to Edward and Gemma. 

"It's T-H-A-L-I-Y-A." Thaliya said instead of what I expected her to say: Hello.

"Hello." I said.

"Sorry hun." Edward said to her. She ignored him and turned to Gemma.

"Hi." Gemma said sweetly.

"Hi." Thaliya said. Wait, I recognized that tone in her voice. She sounded like that when she was only trying to mock someone. I bit the inside of my cheek to stop the laughter that was threatning to bark out.

"I'm Gemma your sister." Gemma said to me.

"Half-sister." I corrected.

Her smile faded and Edward said, "Come on. The car's just this way." 

We followed them making the distance between the four of us increased. 

"That was hilarious." I whispered in Thaliya's ear. 

"I figured she deserved that." She shrugged. I laughed harder and caught Gemma's attention. Shit.

"Here, I'll put those in the trunk for you." Edward said holding out his hand to take the luggage from my hand.
