It's funny how the light of your life can also lead you to your darkest of times. And how you wait, first in line, at every premiere, release, or gathering, but you don't want to be the first to finish. It's funny, how you can get so caught up in something, that you forget it will end, but when it does, you'll never forget. Because every book has a last page, every show has a last season, every person has a last breath, but, the stories we love the most will always be with us.
Maybe she was insane, just like everyone else thought she was. She knew these characters better then she knew herself, she lived their lives over and over again, she cried with them, laughed with them, but they were fictional. And Evelina knew that.
But maybe when it came to real life, things were different.
Evelina never had anyone to care about. Not that she didn't have friends, just never anyone that she loved. Until she meet Her. Her with her purple straight hair and leather jacket. Her, always wearing her black headphones and the occasional snake bites on her bright red lips. Harper Jensen was perfect in all ways. And didn't know Evelina existed.
It's not like she had a chance anyways. With her floppy short strawberry blonde hair, flower crowns, and bright blue eyes. She would never pull off any dark color, only her pastel purple jumper with her skirt. Evelina would never be pretty in her own eyes. But that didn't matter to Harper.
