Yunhyeong was left alone. No. His father would accompany him occasionally, in rare times that he's not busy with work.
Yeah... Yunhyeong is always left alone.
His mother abandoned him. She left him for this unrealistic place of perfection called heaven.
Why did you leave me?
It was his bastard father's fault. He found another woman and left Yunhyeong's mom in depression and grief. It wasn't hard finding out. That bitch's cheap perfume could be smelt mile away.
Why did you die?
If Yunhyeong's father didn't cheat on his mom, she wouldn't have died! It's all his fault! Yunhyeong would always hate his dad for killing his mom. And he won't even begin to talk about how much more he hates that intruding woman. She knew that his dad was married and had a happy family in the first place but she forced herself to be in the picture, right in between his mom and dad.
Yunhyeong keeps himself most the time. All alone, in his room. There's this dull and faded box of toys. Yunhyeong soundlessly rests his head on it's lid and close his eyes, trying to replay all the happy times from when he was younger, playing with every toys in the box. He'll just smile after. It just the memories of his father, his mother and himself, all smiling. It was just the three of them. It was perfect.
A loud engine noise echoed around.
It's his father's car. He would be lying to say that YunHyeong wasn't surprised. His father barely cares about him anymore. Home wasn't somewhere he visited a lot. YunHyeong lazily walked to his curtain and pushed a bit away so he could see outside. It was beautiful outside, but YunHyeong was bitter. It's not like the beautiful artwork like scenery ever changed, he did. He couldn't keep his attention on the view anyway. It was all drawn to his father that had already exited his car, more importantly, the young teen next to him. Who is he?
His father walked to the trunk, boy trailing behind him, and carried out a large suitcase. Suitcase?! That only meant a few things and he hated every single one of them.
He rushed downstairs, clinging onto the last string of hope that it wasn't what he thought it was. He had so much curiosity and urgency, if one didn't know we'll enough, they would think he was excited, but in reality, he was really really not.
"Dad who is he?" He didn't even welcome him. He needed to know.
"Are you gonna welcome your brother like that Yunhyeong? This is Chanwoo. He's Soomin's son."
Soomin?! That's the name of the wrench that tore apart his family. Of course, the boy was none other than the child of that woman.
The boy smiled at him brightly. Now that he looked carefully, Yunhyeong realized that Chanwoo looks a lot like him. It was weird. Chanwoo was a little chubbier, his eyes were rounder, his nose was thinner, it was obvious he was younger, the list of differences was endless! But somehow, somehow, they still managed to look alike.
"This is Yunhyeong, Chanwoo." His father gestured to him. Yunhyeong didn't smile back and stared coldly at the new intruder. He didn't want to smile and delude the kid with the idea that he was going to welcome him. He wasn't good at pretending to be nice, not that he was going to try. He needed to stay alert. He wasn't trusting any more people his dad brought home, especially anyone with blood relation to that witch Soomin.
"Ah, Chanwoo... Your room is next to Yunhyeong's."
He was surprised for the second time today. Again, it was a bad one. Everything started going wrong the moment that Chanwoo boy came, and it hasn't even been long.
