I wince as i silently take the beating my dad dishes out. Punch after punch comes as i turn numb. Of course he would be like this today. I mean why not. He was an abusive, manipulating, deadbeat everyday anyways. All of the sudden the poundings cease. "You may return to your homework now Jase. " he says coldly while breathing heavily. "Yes father." I reply and struggle to keep on my feet as i stager out of the room. I don't even cry anymore im so used to his actions. Sick right? I open my door and head to my desk, finishing my homework. Now you're probably saying to yourself "Why isn't she getting treatment?! Why doesn't she go get help?!" Well here's the answer: I am the sole heir to the extremely rich and powerful Ferdinand Gale. He is a billionaire beloved by the nation. However, he comes home and abuses his daughter to release stress, or whatever is in his twisted mind, and because of this i cant go. Word would get out that the great Mr.Gale did something awful. This, though, still wouldn't work. I would be accused of lying and probably be sent to a girls home or boarding school for my 'crimes'.
After i finish up, i change into my pajamas and crawl into bed, awaiting the next horific day. Little did i know that tomorrow would change my life forever.
