Chapter 23: Surprise Wake-Up Call!

I woke up t a tear soaked pillow and my alarm clock going off, I hit the snooze an looked at the time. 6:30 am. Hmm usually the twins are here by now and jumping on me...oh yeah last night I showed them how weak I really am so they left. Lash got upset when I mentioned Homecoming and took off, so I crawled into bed crying and pretty much shut-downed and I have no one to ask for advice...dads away with mom...twins left because of who I acted...maybe I just shouldn't go to school today. I started to burry myself under my covers when I heard loud banging on the front door.

"I don't think this is a good idea. Maybe we should just leave her alone."

Amy's thoughts?

"She needs us. She needs to know that we are here for her. I'm not going to leave here until we talk to her and make her smile."

Ashley's thoughts? What are these two doing?

"STAR! WE KNOW THAT YOU'LL UP THERE! OPEN UP THE DOOR OR WE'LL BREAK IT IN!" Ashley yelled.

I got up and went to my window and opened it. Once opened I poked my head out and saw the twins at my door with a cake, flowers, balloons and a gift bag.

"WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING HERE AND WHAT'S WITH ALL THAT? IS IT SOMEONES BIRTHDAY?" I yelled back.

"DON'T ASK US QUESTIONS JUST OPEN THE DOOR!" Ashly yelled again kicking at the door.

"ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT! CALM DOWN AND PLEASE DON'T BREAK IT!" I yelled back and quickly closed my window and rushed downstairs to open the front door.

"Now we don't have much time so we need to make it quick!" Ashley said rushing in.

"You should change first though Star!" Amy said standing in the doorway and smiling as she pointed to me in the same clothes as yesterday.

"But...what are you two even doing here?"

"GO CHANGE! HURRY WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME SO CHANGE OR WE WILL DRESS YOU!" Ashley yelled.

"Fine just stop yelling!" I yelled back.

Still unsure of what was going on and the shock of all this left me too confused to try and read their minds. I raced back upstairs to my bedroom and changed into an old worn out pair of blue jeans, my black converses' and a random band t-shirt. I quickly threw my hair into a messy ponytail and then quickly brushing my teeth before grabbing my bag and racing back downstairs to the kitchen.

"Ok I'm changed. Now can you two please tell me what's going on?" I said walking into the kitchen to see the cake on the table, flowers in the center of the table, balloons all around it and Amy holding the bag.

"Wait...those flowers?!"

"They are the same ones that you threw down when you walked inside yesterday after your date with Lash. We took them to that one girl who is good with plants...the one that is a freshmen and for some reason is a sidekick. She fixed them." Ashley said.

"You seemed upset so we left, and we wanted to make you happy. So we got the flowers fixed, brought some cake because who can be upset when they have cake? Balloons to set the mood to happiness and this!" Amy said holding out the bag.

"What is it?"

"Don't ask questions!" Ash yelled again.

"Just open it up silly!" Amy finished.

I opened it up to find a beautiful leather jacket.

"We flew all the way to Italy for that. It's real 'Italian Leather' so you better wear it and make sure Lash sees it and make him regret ever making you so upset!" Ash said crossing her arms like she just won a rap battle.

"Thanks twins! You two are the best friends a girl could ask for." I said hugging them both.

"Of course we are! Without us you'd be a loser." Ash joked lightly hitting my arm.

"We love you too! Now it's time for cake!" Amy yelled.

"I don't think we have time to eat it here. How about we take it to school and eat it together at lunch?" I said putting the lid back on.

"But...But the balloons and everything?" Amy whined.

"They will be fine here. Besides I have you two to make me happy."

"I agree with Star." Ash finally said without yelling.

"Then what are we waiting for let's go!" Amy yelled running outside.

"I'll carry the cake then." I said walking outside after locking up the house.

"And we'll carry you!" Amy laughed grabbing my arm.

This was a surprise morning for me but hey maybe that means that the rest of the day will be great. Maybe even more surprises await me...but I'm still not sure what to do if I see Lash today? Oh well maybe I won't see him today?

*Hey sorry that this is so late at night and doesn't have that much or at least not as much as I wanted it to but I'm really tired and my dog got sick on my bed so I had to stay up and wash it. Gross but it's clean now and so I'm going to go to sleep and update more of this when it's day time and I can think clearly but love my readers! Hope this isn't too bad of a chapter!*
