Written with love,
sealed with a kiss
Left my heart,
This lonely bliss.
But as I stir
Not wake nor sleep,
I wonder should I take a peep?
I call the angels
Hear my sigh
And bring me back my lonesome guy
For he is waiting
There for me
Crying down for all to see
So I ask
Our love won’t break
I give my heart
my soul to take.
My father had offered to drive me to the airport on the day of my leaving, I had said my goodbye’s to my sister and mother before I left. It had been a tearful experience, that’s what I expected.
I was moving to Beauport, South Carolina. I had recently experienced some unfortunate events at home, so my family decided to accept my auntie and uncles invitation for me to spend some time down there, so that’s where im heading.
Beauport was a small, quiet town. From the pictures I had found on the internet.
“we’re here hun”
My dad pulled up outside the airport, he obviously had no intention of walking me in, that was fine by me, I hated goodbyes.
“look Lola,” my dad sighed.
He must of been serious now. His face showed no amusment, he just stared into my pale, blue, eyes.
I decided that this was the moment to study his face, watch as his handsome features scrunched up into awkwardness, he obviously wanted to say something that would make him feel uncomfortable.
“it’ll be a while until you’ll see all of us, you know?” he sighed
I suppose I take after my dad, we don't have to say much to show our emotion, just one long look at we know how much other feels.
“I know dad, I’ll keep in touch.”
I gave him a reassuring smile, and turned to leave. Suddenly he pulled me into a cosy, secure hug. Slowly, I inhaled his musky, homely sent, full of happiness and memories, I would defiantly miss my dad.
He pulled back and gave me a dazzling smile,
“Cya kid,” he winked smiling, then he ruffled my messy brown hair, and walked away laughing.
I don't know how long I stood there staring after him - this was it, I was leaving everything behind me, my friends, family, school. my life.

“you alright girl?”
I must of fallen asleep after the plane took off, because I woke up to find a large, middle aged woman looking down at me concerned.
“yes im fine thank you.” I mumbled, tired and distracted.
“its ok, it’s just that couple of people over there heard ‘ya shout a bit whilst sleppin’” she smiled at me.
“Oh, sorry. Erm, nightmares.” I sighed
“ah well, we’ve all been there chick!”
She smiled at me sympathetically, before walking off.
I looked out of the window of the plane, thinking back to my reccuring nightmare. It was always the same one, the same man.
Back in Ohio, I had the same dreams, about terrible events that occurd around summer.

“LOLA!” my dad would come rushing in to my screaming bedroom, followed by my mom.
“Lola honey wake up,” my mom would gently shake me.
“It’s no use Kate, she isn’t getting any better, there’s nothing we can do!”
“Look jack. I am NOT sending her to the other end of the country to my sister, I will never see her!”
“Do you really want her to be in distress for the rest of her life? She isn’t getting any better, you know it, I know it, the whole freaking town knows it!
Allie needs a break this summer. Somewhere new, somewhere where she isn’t frequently reminded by the terrible things that happened to her Kate!”
I remember hearing a frustrated sigh, coming from my mom.
“I know jack, I know. I just don't want to lose her.”
And that’s all I remember of that night.
