4. The chase

Beth's POV

"Daryl"? I asked looking up.
"Open up" I heard Daryl say.
I ran over to the door,  taking the boards off.
He ran walked in shutting the door and rebolting it.
"Look what I found"! He said kneeling on the ground in front of max and me.
He pulled out a bag, and pulled out blankets, a bed for max, plates, spoons and knifes and forks.
"Beth, close your eyes and hold out your hands" he said smiling.
I closed my eyes and did as he said, I felt a soft thing in my hands.
"Open em" he said.
I opened my eyes and found a sparkly gray beanie in my hands.
"Oh my god Daryl, thank you"! I said trying it on, it was a perfect fit.
"yeah" he said looking down smiling.
"Remember when Maggie, Glenn, Rick, Carol, and us went to that store together"? He asked playing with his fingers.
"Yes" I said moving my hair out of my face.
"Well, she found a phone , and keep it" he said.
"So, what's the point"? I asked confused.
"I got you one" he said pulling out a iPhone.
"Wow" I said hugging him.
"Like it"? He asked giving it to me.
"Yes" I said turning it on.
"Thanks"I said making a password.
"Don't mention it" he said picking up Max.
"Oh, and she's on it often" he said kissing max.
"Cool" I said going on messages.
I texted Mag and said (hay sis).
I put it on camera and took a photo of max.
I took a photo of all of us.
I went on settings and made the pic of max my home screen.   
My phone beeped , and I looked, it was Maggie!
(Text form, Maggie) hay! Where r u? How's Daryl and u?
(Beth) sis! guess what
(Maggie) what?
(Beth) we have a dog! His names Max! He's at a home we found in the woods, we r staying here, it's safe!
(Maggie) WHAT!!! 😧😧😧😺😺, awesome, were at in the woods?
(Beth) somewhere next to a store
(Maggie) okay, I'm gonna look for you, Glenn and I r in the woods now
(Beth) awesome, we r in Water Lake Woods
(Maggie) OH MY GOSH !!! So r WE!
(Beth) okay, see the sort of big cabin on the left?
(Maggie) no, I'm sorry 😟😟😟😟
(Beth) oh , no it's okay, u take ur time, I'll stay here.
(Maggie) k, walker gotta go
(Beth) k
(Maggie) killed it, okay, my phone is dead love u, I'll find u
(Beth) k
I walked to max and daryl, I set my phone on the counter, and kissed max.
I herd faint voices and footsteps, I herd knocking on the front door.
I ran to the door, " Maggie"? I asked.
" SIS"! I herd her say, I opened the door, and she and Glenn came bolting in.
I jumped and hugged her very tight.
I herd max walking toward us.
" is this max"? Maggie asked petting max, and he licked her on the chin.
"Yeah do u like him" ? I asked kneeling also and petting him to.
"He's so cute, and sweet" she said getting up.
" wait a minute, where did you get those close"? Shy asked looking at me.
"At the store, like"? I asked spinning around, my hair flying as I spun.
" Beth, where is this store, and yes I do" she said biting her lip, putting a strand of hair behind my ear.
" Daryl , Maggie's here, I'm gonna take her to the store, with max" I called to Daryl, putting a leash on max.
"Come on, I'll show you, follow me" I said running out the door, max and Maggie following.
I ran Maggie killing a walker we saw.
Max and I and Maggie ran, I saw the store, and ran faster.
We got to it and I opened to door, Maggie ran in and max followed her in, I followed them in.
" come on, wanna get knew close"? I asked , pointing to the close.
"Yep" she said walking in the close stuff.
she found a shirt that had a pic of a black lab, another shirt, it was a black hoody that said believe on the back, she found another shirt , that was grey and black and it also was a hoody.
She found a pare of ripped jeans , black pants, and blue jeans.
She found some converse, a pare of black boots, and sneakers.
She found a black beanie and put it on, she found some hairbands.
She got a bag and stuffed 1,356 AMO packs in it.
She got a sharp dagger and held on to it.
She put those down and went to change.
She came out wearing the black hoody, the blue jeans, the beanie, and the black boots.
"Ready" she said swinging the bag over her shoulder, and picking up the sharp dagger.
" k , come here max" I said putting the leash back on max and running out the door.
Daryl opened and Max tackled him.
He fell and max kept liking him.
We walked in and Maggie showed everything got to the boys.

After she showed all of her close, she put on the black lab picture shirt,and the blue jeans, and the boots.
She loaded every gun we had with AMO.
"You hungry"? I asked them smirking.
"Duh, every since we left the camp we haven't eaten" she said petting max more.
"No resin to be a smart alik" I said flipping my hair.

after they ate their food, max had to go out.
I grabbed my backpack.
I took him out, and looked around.
Max looked up, he started running fast.
"MAX COME HERE" I yelled running after him.
"MAAAAAAX" I yelled after a while, i didn't know where I was.
"Max w-where are you" I asked getting worried.
"BETH" I heard in the distance,"WHERE ARE YOU"?
I heard a yelp, that could only mean one thing, max.

A/N hey guys
Left it at a cliff hanger didn't I?!
So what do u guys think happened to max?
Could he be hurt?
This chapter was sort of stupid...And unrealistic.
So sorry :(....
But I've been really busy lately..
I promise the next chapter will be very exiting.
