3.Max

Daryls POV

"I'll be outside" Beth said walking away.
"okay " I mumbled .
Then she walked away .
Yes I do love her . I thought
I stood up, walking back and forth. I thought , I've never felt this way before , I was always a loner . I thought
I walked back to my vest , and crossbow , I sat on my vest , thinking what this feeling is.
I played with my fingers , and tears coming to my eyes .
I stood up walking to the door, Beth wasn't there, I had the answer .
I sighed , I stepped outside , it started to rain , it was freezing , I hope she's okay.
I walked back inside , putting my vest on.
I picked up my crossbow, and walked upstairs , checking every room, looking if there's any walkers in the building , I thought if it's safe we could stay here for the night.
I herd the sound of one in a room, I slowly opened the door and killed 3 .
I went up another level , and it was safe , there where blankets , hats , and furniture .
I looked at a king bed with warm sheets , I sat on it , very nice , I uncovered the bed , thinking when she gets back she would be tired.
I laid my crossbow and my old boots and bags down , I laid on the bed daydreaming , I never did that anymore .
I fell asleep.
About 2minutes later I woke up.
"Where is she"? I asked myself "BETH"? I called , no response .
I walked down 2 flights of stairs , walking to the bathroom , I opened the door and walked in.
When I was done I checked outside hoping to see Beth , it was poring rain , but yet no sign of her .
I was worried , did walkers take her?, so she lost ?, is she trapped? I thought , I missed her. bad
About 1 minute later she ran trough the door kissing me, I picked her up happily .
I put her down " where where you?" I asked
"I was lost". She said crying
"Shhhh it's okay ". I said moving her closer and snuggling .
"I do , I do love you". I whispered kissing her head , and then her lips .
She kissed back , and soon after she fell fast asleep , I picked her up carrying her upstairs to the bed .
I laid her down and kissed her on her cheek , I covered her up with the sheets , I thought that wasn't enough , I saw a butterfly wool blanket and ran over to it, I picked it up and ran back over to her , putting in on.
I crawled into The bed with her, I wrapped the sheet over me , scooting over to her , I put my vest over me as another blanket , it didn't help .
I closed my eyes falling asleep.

(The next day)
(Still Daryl's POV)
I woke to the sun in my eyes , I was starving .
I looked in the food bag , finding cereal , I looked in the drink bag finding milk , I took the rice crispy box and the milk .
I got out of bed not trying to make any noise , I didn't wanna wake her up yet , she needs her sleep .
I looked for two bowl, I found 2 . I walked to a table and sat in a char , I poured the cereal in the blue bowl , I realized I didn't have a spoon , " Dang It"! I said standing back up.
I ran to the silverware , and got 2 spoons , I ran back to the table with my food , and started eating.
After I was done I ran to the bathroom on the first floor .
I ran to the bathroom and washed the dish and spoon.
I ran back upstairs , checking on Beth . I thought she would be hungry at 12:15 pm .
She woke up slowly, her eyes squinting "where am I "? She asked me sleepily
"In the store " . I said
"How did I up here"? She asked looking around
"Well... I carried you up here " I said smiling
"Thanks Daryl". She said sitting up
She tried to uncover herself , but I did .
"Thanks ". She said again .
"No it's the least I can do " I said helping her up
"The least?" She asked confused
"Yeah after yelling at you .. I felt awful ever since ". I said looking down walking her to the table .
"Yum"! She said when she saw the food, milk, and bowls and spoon .
I pulled out the char for her , "thanks". She said sitting down "don't mention it". I said making her a bowl.
"Well I am , you are being so sweet , and I love you for that". She said
"Wa-what"? I said stunned looking at her
"Daryl I love you too". She said looking at me
I stood there , staring at her wondering what to say .
"You don't have to answer ". She said "I just needed you to know".
"Uh......." I said
"Shhhh ". She said "if you don't wanna say anything I understand , you never herd that word before, plus you told me how you felt last night ". She said eating her food
I nodded my head ,walking away
"Where are you going ?"she asked
I turned around "outside to think , come out if you wanna get some air , I'll be in the front " I said walking away
"Okay" she said
I walked to the bed grabbing my crossbow and walking away.
"Daryl"? Beth asked
"Yeah"? I said stopping and turning around
"What you said last night.... Was it true ....... Do you love me"? She asked
"Uh...... Yeah ". I said turning around and walking away again
"Thanks ". She said making me turn around again
"For what"? I asked setting my crossbow down
"For being here when I'm .... When I bug you". She said
"That's what I do for my friends ". I said sitting by the table
"Are you gonna go outside"? Beth asked
"Well do you want me too"? I asked
"Hay ,why don't you come outside with me, we can take a walk". I said standing up
"Is it still raining "? She asked
"No". I said
"Okay be right out , I have to put on my pink boots and a new outfit ". She said smiling
"Okay" I said walking away " I'll be outside ".
She walked away trying to find her boots .
I walked downstairs and opened the door to outside, I looked around and saw no walkers.thats a good thing
I looked through the door and saw Beth coming .
I got ready and tied my boots, and she came out.
"Ready"? She asked
"Yeah". I said
"Wanna walk in the woods"? She asked looking at me
"Sure ". I said walking with her in to the woods
We walked talking about stuff, we saw about 4 walkers , the the littlest pair I've ever seen.
We came to a dead end and Beth saw something .
"W-what's that"!? She asked
She ran toward a house , I ran after her.
We ran in , me hearing winning .
I looked around the corner and saw a puppy .
It looked at me and jumped, I saw in the corner and saw a bag of dog food ripped open and spilled .
"Hello "! I said petting the dog
"Beth"!! I yelled kneeling down to its height .
"Wh- OH MY GOD"! She said running to the puppy
"Hi little cutie"! She said rubbing it's back
We saw its tag , and flipped it over hopping for a name .
It's name was Max and he's 8 weeks !
Bath said "be right back". And walked away , she took a bool and walked into the kitchen
"Here Max". She said with a bowl of water
Max ran over to the water, and drank .
"I'll be back " .Beth said "gonna see if there's anymore food for him".
"K". I said , the dog laying beside me
"Daryl"! Yelled Beth surprised
"Be right back". I said to Max
I walked in the other room, "there's a note about Max from his owner".
"What's it say"? I asked concerned
"we had to go, please take care of Max .

fall 2015 2\12 ".
"That was yesterday"! She said
We went back in the room whew Max was ,and sat.
I saw a leash in the corner , and put it on Max.
"You have to go potty"? I asked the puppy thinking he would have to
"Come on". I said pulling on the leash for him to come
I peeked outside , to make sure there was no walkers, and there wasn't any.
I took him outside , he did number 1&2.
After he was done, I herd loud walker sounds, so I took him inside.
I took his leash off of him.
He ran to Beth, begging for water or food.
"Okay bud". She said walking to the room with the half food bag and the water bool.
Max ran o the food bool, and ate fast .
When he was done, he looked at Beth and sat, begged for more.
"Should I give him more". She asked looking at me
"Well, if we have enough for tomorrow". I said
She looked in the bag , and thought.
"Just a little". She said smiling at Max
Max's tail started waging, he watched her scoop out his food.
He sat waiting for the moment.
When she put it down Max ate it faster then I could say ,Beth.
We both laughed, as we saw the puppy inhale the food.
When the bool was empty Beth took it away , she walked away Max following , Beth rinsed it off , then she filled it up with water.
Max drank fast , and pushed it away.
Beth picked it the puppy, and he licked her face.
Then she put him down, then I picked him up, he licked me In the face also.
I sat down holding the snuggling pup.
Max started to move so I let him out of my arms.
Max walked over to my crossbow and sniffed, "hay bud don't bite it". I said to Max
Max's ears started to move , he stopped moving and stood there looking at the door, then he wined.
"Come here boy". I said looking at the scared puppy
He walked over to us and sat down , looking very frightened.
Then the sound of walkers outside was loud, "keep Max by you" I said standing up.
I looked out the window, I saw 9 walkers coming to the door "oh shit" I said.
"Get in the basement NOW"! I said to Beth
"Okay". She said running with Max
I herd them trying to brake the door down.
The door was opening, I hide in the corner with my crossbow.
The walkers stumbled towered the table where I was.
I shot 1 and another,pretty soon they where gone.
I shut the door and locked it, and put a table in front.
It started to rain then lightning, then thunder.
I looked for a sign saying basement "BETH"? I called wanting to see if I could see where she is.
"Yes" she said.
I walked downstairs and found Max and Beth in the corner with Max's bed.
I sat down by Beth and Max the puppy immediately came to me.
"Hi" I said petting Max.
Max desisted to softly bite me, but then not so soft.
"he wants to play" I said standing up, to get some gloves I saw in the corner.
I ran Max following me.
I got to were the gloves are, and slipped them on.
Max jumped and bit the gloves hard .
"Ow" I said laughing and shoving him.
He ran back , teeth showing.
I ran over to Beth sitting down ,letting Max bite me.
"Hahahahaaa". Said Beth.
I ran around Max following me faster than I could run.
I fell on knees and Max went crazy.
"Hay back off" I said getting back up and running around .
"Shh" I said hearing something.
"What is it "? Asked Beth .
I heard something drop, in the other room, I walked over to Beth , and grabbed my crossbow , "keep him here" I said meaning Max.
I heard the growing of walkers , and more than one.
"Stay here" I said to Beth handing her a gun, "if you need it" I said .
She hid behind a bunch of boxes ,with Max in her arms.
I walked slowly to the door were the noise was coming from.
I opened the door walkers stumbling out.
I heard gun shots and walkers started falling , "BEHIND YOU" yelled Beth .
I turned around seeing a walker stumbling toured me , I shot it with the arrow.
I took the arrow out and put it back in my bow.
I closed to door and wrote a note:
Walkers inside , keep out.
"Thanks Beth" I said walking toured her helping her up.
"Well you didn't see her" she said talking about the walker.

BETHS POV
"BEHIND YOU" I screamed at Daryl.
He turned around and killed a girl walker.
Max tried to brake free but I grasped him.
I saw Daryl write a note .
"Thanks Beth" I heard him say as we came over to us.
He stuck out his hand and helped me up.
"Well you didn't see her" I said smiling.
Max sniffed the air and wined.
"What's wrong boy" I said confused .
"Beth" Daryl said looking around grabbing my hand.
He grabbed Max to and ran making me follow .
He led us upstairs running into the bathroom.
He shut the door.
"What's wrong"? I asked fear in my eyes.
"I don't know , but Max knew something was down there , and more than one" he said .
"Sit down with Max" he said boating the door.
I went to the corner.
I filled the tub with a little bit of water .
I got glass cup and filled it with water and drank, So did Max .
Daryl drank to.
I started crying .
"What's wrong "? Asked Daryl.
"We lost Maggie and the group, I hope their okay" I sobbed.
"Hay hay hay, we will find them, their all okay , I promise" he said letting me cry on his shoulder.
"Really"? I asked wiping my eyes.
"Yeah, listen I lost my brother , you won't lose your sister, I know" he said .
"I'm gonna go to the store and get stuff , you stay here with Max , but stay in the bathroom" he said.
"Rebolt the doors wen I leave" he said leaving.
"Bye " I yelled .
"Bye" he yelled bake .
I rebolted the doors.
"Want a bath"? I asked max filling the tub.
I stopped the water and then got him in.
I grabbed the cup on filled it with the water and pored it on him.
I let down my long blonde hair.
I shook my head letting it fall over my shoulders .
I grabbed the dog sope.
I washed Max and again pored water on him.
I grabbed a towel and picked the wet dog out of it.
I dried him, but he still shook.
I made him lay down, I took of my close and stepped in the tub.
I made the water worm, and let it run down my dirty hair.
I washed my body.
When I got out I grabbed a towel, and rapped it around my body.
"Brrr" I said drying myself off.
When I was done, I got my blue shirt and a dark pare of jeans.
I brushed my hair and let it flow down my shoulders.
I towel dried my hair and made a braid.
I went over by Max and sat down, he jumped on my lap, and started to bite me.
"Hahaahahahaaaaa" I said getting on my knees.
He ran with his teeth out and leaping in the air.
Max stopped and looked at the door , "what is it boy" I asked him.
He looked scared.
I stood up and picked him up, I put him in the tub and hopped in with him.
I got my knife high in the air, my hands shaking.
I heard the sound of walkers , and what I heard, more then one.
"Stay" I whispered to Max , I moved as quietly as I could , I finally got to the door.
"D-Daryl"? I asked frightened.
The sound of walkers came, and I knew it wasn't Daryl.
"Max, come here" I said leaning agents the door.
Max's tail stared to wag.
He sat down beside me and let me pet him.
"Where is he"? I asked looking at the door.
Max stopped and looked up.
He backed away,  and laid down.
"What is it boy" I asked confused.
He started to whimper.
"What do you hear"? I asked wondering what was out there, beside walkers.
Soon after he started barking.
"Hay hay hay, what's wrong"? I asked him stroking his back.
I heard the walkers falling and no more noise.
"Daryl"? I asked looking up.

I really took a lot of time and hard work making this chapter.
