Part 3 - James <3
James and I became really close. And how you ask? Because of texting. To the person who invented the cellphone: I hope you have a spot in heaven! So, as you know, James and I know each other from 1 thing, chess. It's a really great thing that I learned chess on the month of June. Here it goes!
Me and Nina were talking about.. stuff. Then she told me
"Sam, are you going to the chess tournament?"
"What? When? Where?"
"James told me if you wanted to come. It's near _______________ . It's gonna be held on Saturday."
"Ohh.. sad to say, I don't know that place."
And then Nina texted someone and then changed the topic. When her phone message rang, she told me
"James will come with us so that he can show you the way."
"Ohh.. well.." I didn't know what to say because I was really shocked and nervous and all that..
"C'mon, pleasseeeee??" Nina said like a child, which is immature. I don't like immature. people.
"Okay fine," While I said that, Nina jumped because of the excitement."
"But I'm gonna have to ask my mum first okay?"
"Okay."
Saturday. 8 AM.
It turns out, Mum allowed me to join in. Which was sad cause I really didn't wanna go. I had a really low self-esteem. We met James on a store and he showed us the way.
"Hi Sam." He said, smiling.
"Hi." I couldn't help but smile too. I think my face was red. It was so embarrassing.
And then after a few games. I lost. But that wasn't really the point.
I was with my driver that time. He's name is Leo.
I always finished early because I wasn't even trying.
Kuya Leo was looking at James the entire time. Then I said
"What's up?"
"He keeps on looking at you."
"Who?"
"Your friend, James."
I could believe it. So I investigated.
"You're crazy."
"No really, look, when you're not looking he looks at you. Stare over there at that wall then quickly look at him."
"Fine, I'm doing this just to prove you wrong."
So I did, I looked at the wall then quickly looked at him.
To my shock, he was looking at me.
"I hate you kuya,"
He just laughed and laughed and laughed.
When the last game was about to start, people couldn't find James anywhere. So I called him, he didn't answer, so,his lost.
When everything was done. I went over to the car to find out that kuya Leo and Nina were there.
"What's up peeps?"
"Sam--." Kuya Leo said, seriously."
"--listen to this."
I listened to the recording, I hear his voice. James' voice.
it was like a question and answer portion. Kuya Leo was the one asking and James was the one who answers.
"Do you like Sam?" Kuya Leo said
"Umm.. I do."
"Really?"
"Uh huh."
"Are you planning to court her?"
"Not yet, she's too young. I'll do it when she's ready to be courted."
"Okay,"
I was so shock, I think I fainted. Seriously. James doesn't know that I know what he said.
I'm planning to keep it that way.

After 2 years since that happened. I have no feeling for James anymore, even for Peter. I'm actually in love with someone COMPLETELY different.

BONUS!!!!
During the DCAA, I lost, and felt really sad because I thought I let my school down. Which I did. I was so sad that I bought a huge mango shake. I lost my train of thought then just kept looking at the floor.
When I heard a voice
"Did you lose Sam?" It was Sir Lo, next to him was, you guessed it, James.
"Yes Sir" My voice was really sad. even I didn't expect it.
"James and Gino lost too, so you're not the only one." Sir Lo assured.
"Even Nina lost." Sir G added.
Then James spoke. I think I would never forget what he said to me.. it made me happier.
"Don't worry Sam. You're a really great chess player, imagine! You're a beginner but you made it to the DCAA. Pabayaan mo na yan sila, matagal na sila dito eh. samantala ikaw, bago ka palang, naka-abot ka na agad sa DCAA, natalo mo nga ung Ateneo dba? Basta alamin mo na magaling ka. Smile na dyan." :)
Yeaaahhhh,,, I just blushed. I was really happy. Thanks James :D
