Chapter 5: Sleepy?

The three of you immediately went inside as soon as you all reached the treehouse's doorstep.
Being inside the treehouse felt great, it was much warmer and comfier than being outside in the cold, wet rain.
You looked out the window, only to witness the rain grow stronger. It'll probably turn into a storm soon.
You were a little soaked, well not that little. Even though Jake had stretched out a roof for you and finn, the wind's direction of blowing while it was raining sort of soaked you, Finn and mostly Jake...

You were just squeezing your hair dry when suddenly, you felt a tingling sensation inside your no- "Achoo!" se...

"Bless you." Jake said before walking into another room.

"Aghh... I don't think we can get her home. Its raining pretty hard..." Finn mumbled, scratching the back of his head, a little frustrated.

"Hm?" You hummed, assuming that he was talking to you about something.
"Huh? Ah, no. its nothing." He smiled at you and waved it off .
"Anyways...are you okay with staying here until the storm calms down?"

"Uh..." you shifted your eyes over to the open window,and looked at the rain outside.. wait... are those... knives?!"a-ah, Sure!"
You honestly didn't want to stay here and be a burden to them even if it is only for...until..what ever type of rain that is; stops. But then at the same time, you didn't know how or IF they could even get you back to the castle in this... murderous storm. So you didn't really have that much of a choice but to stay.

"Kay, then..." He replied with a small smile and went upstairs. "Make yourself at home, Bud." Jake said walking in holding a rolled up towel and giving it to you, whilst he had one himself placed over his shoulders.
"Thank you..." You simply replied, still bothered by the fact that you're talking to Jake, a stretchable talking...man dog.

After drying off certain spots on your body. You had realized that you did not have any spare clothes with you to change into. "Uh..." "Ahem, i--- don't really have any other...clothing to change into. And this frilly, (F/c) dress is starting to feel pretty heavy, seeing as it was soaked in the rain..."
"Ohh..." Jake said shaping his mouth to the letter O.

"Wait here for a sec..." He said before also going upstairs where finn was.
So you stood there waiting, until jake finally came down along with Finn in a fresh new set of clothing, Comfortable sleeping pajamas. "H-here, wear these for now..." Finn handed over to you a set of neatly folded clothes that looked like what he was wearing most of the time. It was a Light Blue shirt and a pair of Dark Blue shorts. They looked a little oversized for you, but you thanked them nonetheless.

"C'mon, i'll lead you upstairs where the bathroom is..." Finn said, motioning for you to follow him as he started walking across the room. You followed behind him carrying the set of clothes and the towel on your chest.

"Here, go change your clothes inside. I'll be waiting downstairs with Jake, Okay?"
"O-okay..."

After making sure that Finn is downstairs, you enter the bathroom and closed the door behind you.
You observed their bathroom, which contained stuff that you can commonly find inside the bathroom. Bathtub, toilet, sink, mirror etc.
You went to check on yourself over by the mirror before taking your clothes off and changing into the provided ones.
Finn's clothes were a bit big on you, but it still felt comfortable. You took one final look at yourself in the mirror before going downstairs where Finn and Jake were waiting.

"Are they comfortable?" Finn asks as soon as he noticed you. "Yeah...well its big. But other than that its really comfortable.." you smile, showing him that it actually really is comfortable.
"Glad to hear that, Sky.." he said returning you a smile.
"Dinner is ready! Get your butts over here." Jake called out from, what i'm guessing was their Kitchen...wait, who would cook with fire inside a treehouse?! Well, apparently Jake...

Finn then went inside their dining room and you followed after him. "Aw yiss! Spaghetti and meatballs!" Finn exclaimed fist bumping the air.
You sat on the arched sofa as jake put down plates on the table and served some spaghetti. "Thank you.. "

BUUURP

Was what you heard after Jake finished his plate...followed by anothe-

BUUURP

by Finn... you laughed at it but you also, unexpectedl-

BUUURP

Yourself... "o-oh, ahh.." they both looked at you as if they just discovered a new species of an animal. You felt your face start to heat up, Then Finn started laughing followed by Jake. "H-heh.. ha..haha..hahahahaha!" Then you started laughing at yourself along with them.

You all just sat there laughing your butts off for a while.

~Timeskip~

Finn was setting up the couch for you to sleep on while Jake was already sleeping upstairs. "Are you sure you're okay with sleeping here? You can sleep on my bed if you want to, i'll just take the couch instead..." Finn offered. "N-no, i'm already fine with sleeping here.. " you said sitting on the well prepared couch. "Okay then, just call me if you need anything.. alright? I'll be just upstairs." "Okay..." "Goodnight..." was all he said before switching the lights off and walking upstairs.

You laid on the couch and pulled the blanket up to cover you, and you started trying to go to sleep... emphasis on trying. The rainstorm was really noisy, you could hear the wind outside. And there was a branch tapping on the window at the kitchen.

After a while, when you finally started drifting off to sleep. You saw a bright light flash outside followed by a loud thunder.
"AGHHH!!" You sat up and curled up into a ball, covering your ears. You were afraid of thunders and lightning.
"S-sky! What happened?!" Finn yelled walking down the steps holding a candle holder with a lit candle standing in the middle. He then noticed you curled up on the couch and sprinted over to you. "What happened?!"
You replied with nothing but whimpering. Then another lighting hit from far away but the thunder was still loud enough to scare you again and you let out a loud whimper digging your face deeper onto your lap. Finn realized what was wrong and sat beside you. "There, there...shhsh. its alright..." he said hugging you close to him and rubbing your back gently . You took your hands away from your ears and hugged him out of fear, you were aware of what you were doing, and you were hugging him. But it didn't matter to you, cause you were scared. You digged your face into his shirt and cried.

"Shh... don't be afraid, Sky... thunders can't hurt you.. "
"Shh... don't be afraid, (Y/n)... thunders can't hurt you.. "

_______ Ding________

Your crying softened and you started to calm down.

"(Y-y/n)... " was all you said before drifting off into a peaceful slumber...
