Hello. Those were thememories as a child that I, Joshuah Kuma, had been sharing with you. I still am a child, but an older one at that. Now I'm twelve years old and beginning middle school.
Now I am going to let you, the reader, see the world from my current perspective. I may warn you that a lot has happened since the day I was seven and my father left us. Try not to judge too much. Things just happen, you see.

Beep, Beep, Beep. The alarm clock on my bedside table beeps much too loudly for my pleasing. I am pulled out of a wonderful dream of being a famous soccer star and forced into the conscious world. I sit up in bed after smacking my alarm off, and sit in the relaxing for a few moments before I decide to stand out of bed and get into my school uniform. Luckily, I had it laid out the night before.
I was finishing getting dressed when I heard my phone start to go off. I quickly took it up from the charger and press answer as quickly as possible.
"Goodmorning?"
"Josh?"
"Yeah, it's me. Hey, Taka. Are you on your way here?"
"Yeah. I'm almost to your building. I just have a corner to go around then you just need to let me up. Have you eaten breakfast yet?"
When I try to think back to the last time I ran to the grocery store for mother, I realize we probably have nothing to make into breakfast, but I don't want to.admit that. "Um. . . Yeah."
"Liar. Don't worry. Shinju-Chan made breakfast buns for all four of us."
I can't hold back a laugh. Taka's sister, Shinju, always makes sure to make all of us breakfast in the morning before school. I should have expected it as always. "Of course. Are the girls with you right now?"
"Nope. Shinju had stopped to buy a new bow for her uniform and Chou is staring into the book store window. It will be just us for a bit of time."
"You always sound so happy to be alone with me. It's freaking creepy!"
"Shut up and get down here. Before I eat your food."
"Don't you dare, Takahiro!"
I shut my phone while I hang up, then take up my bookbag and head down from my apartment to the first floor. I find Usami Takahiro waiting at the elevator for me with a big stupid grin on his face and two neatly wrapped buns in his hands. He hands me one as we begin to leave my apartment building.
Taka is my best friend and he has been since my third year in primary school, after the second time I started crying in school. The first year of primary school wad put behind us and now we spend most of our free time together- Even though we are pretty big opposites.
He is a brunet that would prefer to sit in a pitch dark room, watching anime or playing video games, rather than go out and play sports- While I am a blond that would rather be outside no matter the weather, playing soccer with all I have. So far I know Taka's favourite game genre is horror or action and I'm captain on the soccer team I'm on- Yet we both are so close and don't let our opposites bring us apart. I'm always happy by his side.
"How is your dads?" I ask after a few large bites into my breakfast bun are swallowed down "I haven't seen them in a few days."
Taka is already finished with his food. He hums as he thinks for only a few seconds then speaks. "They're good. Papa is trying to work on a new romance novel, but he is having a hard time writing something about innocent first love."
"Innocent? Your papa?" I let out a snort before I look ahead of us and spot a few of the other guys from my soccer team. I ignore their calling my name while I pass by with Taka. We continue to walk and soon we're at our school.
