Chapter 23

Another night grew dark and cold again. It's been exactly two days since Kyungsoo was seen, but we haven't given up just yet.

Jonghyun has also returned from Lester. He brought a witch, claiming she had a few information that would help. And that's exactly what we we're doing at the moment.

"What do you know?", Kris finally spoke up, "You've been sitting their without saying anything at all."

Crystal rolled her eyes at him but kept silent. She was seriously mysterious, though she is a witch after all.

"It's likely possible that Kyungsoo and Tao are together", Crystal predicted after quite a few seconds.

"Why is that?" Chanyeol questioned.

"Well... It's quite a coincidence how they both ended up missing. As far as I heard Taemin's target was Tao and he succeeded by taking him away. Therefore if Kyungsoo isn't seen it means Taemin is using him as well."

Crystal's explanation did surprise a lot of us, because somehow it all connected in a way. Kyungsoo's disappearance is like proving Taemin could still be around.

In addiction to that it could possibly mean Taemin could do much more harm or endanger us.

"You think it's Taemin behind all this?", Luhan asked.

Crystal nodded, "I do believe it might be him but then again I'm not positive."

"Watch Kyungsoo is probably taking a vacation
away from all of us and isn't in any danger," Baekhyun cracked a smile, trying to lighten the mood.

"Just try and get ahold of Taemin," Crystal continued, ignoring Baekhyun's comment , "I should get going now." She announced and left.

"Do you think what she said... is true?" Sehun asked while taking a seat on the couch.

"It might. The way she explained it made sense on his sudden absence," Xiumin replied.

"All we have to do now is look out for him," Jongin added.

"We can't let Taemin take us all like that. More than ever now, we have to make sure we see all of our surroundings and keep aware of everything." Suho instructed.

We agreed especially now. Right after Sehun, Luhan, Kris, Xiumin and Lay left for their night class. The rest stayed after. Pretty much everyone else was afraid of leaving the house, unless it was necessary or important.

Jonghyun apologized as well for not being here as much and for letting another mysterious disappearance happen. Also since we haven't been outside as much now , Edvin has been constantly visiting.

"How is everything going so far? Any news on Kyungsoo?" Edvin immediately asked as he entered.

"Fine," I answered, "but we still have no clue on where he is."

"I'm sure all of this will last just for a short amount of time, but I'm sure it will be all over soon. Hold tight for a bit," he gave me an assuring squeeze and smiled.

I smiled back and silently prayed for it to be true. I motioned for Baekhyun and Chen to follow as we headed into the backyard. The night seemed calm and it was a good way to go hunting.
